BEAM is traded in so few exchanges and all of them small... I don't understand why GRIN is taking all the love!
Personally, as an investor at least, not as a user, wouldn't call one better than the other. Both coins have equally good potential and many similar features. Where's the hype BEAM community? Cheesy

Dont hype it! Let it stay as an underdog so I can accumulate more Wink

Seriously though, I think BEAM has a very very bright future.. Trying to mine as much as possible right now before $10/Beam Wink

I very much doubt you'll see a bounty campaign for bitcointalk signatures.
I hope for important things, but not a sig campaign.

Hi Beam community. I've been Beaming about ten days and made this conclusion for exchanges to use without too much worry.

1) ChainRift.com
2) BitForex.com
3) Hotbit.io
4) BitMesh.com https://bitmesh.com/exchange?market=btc_beam#/

I had a hard time with QBTC and think anything you send there is gone.

Have you tried BHEX? They offer very low transaction fees and very fast withdrawal

Hello guys just need help about my transaction if how can I see beam coin transaction in block explorer?
Or how can I track my recent transaction because I send few beam coin for testing in hotbit.io few hours ago but until now I don't see any sign or history that I receive beam coin to my hotbit.io wallet?

you will see if it went through, when the wallet shows a kernel ID for it. When there is a kernel ID, it should show as completed in your wallet and if it is not showing at your exchange after this, you will need to contact them.

If there is no kernel ID yet, and status is not yet completed, it may be a problem with receivers wallet, and the tx will fail after 12 hrs.

hope this helps

exactly the problem in long run, i had to mention this here

I think you'll need to elaborate. conjecture is all very well, but without substance, it's just FUD.. please explain your reasoning?

interesting... HiveOS statistics show equihash 150_5 to be the third most popular algo on their platform...

Hive OS is a widespread Linux distribution used by miners. It includes various embedded miners software.
Here are Hive OS statistics: https://hiveos.farm/statistics

#1 - ETHash (Ethereum, probably mostly ASICs)
#2 - Cuckoo (Grin)
#3 - Equihash 150, 5 (Beam)

I'll take that as a vote of confidence Smiley

Regarding Exchanges:

- We don't comment on specific exchanges, per a strict legal guidance we are working under.

- We did say that we don't pay listing fees (not an issue these days, most tier 1 and tier 2 exchanges doesn't require listing fees)

- We are assisting any Exchange that contact us and ask for help.

- We are about to complete an Exchange integration guide to make it easier to integrate with Beam: https://github.com/BeamMW/beam/wiki/Exchange-integration-guide

- Patience is a good virtue Smiley

No ICO , No Premine but 20% DEV TAX

I don't mind DEV fund, although this made disadvantage compared to other projects. This isn't disadvantage from a different perspective though, for example, funds in support of getting big exchanges (and other activities, dev, advertise etc). When a project is known for its reputation such that exchanges list it on their own, a project with funds should contain a market team who actively try to get to exchanges. These aren't being seen yet here. I hope these will be strengthened later, or no doubt GRIN takes all the LOVES!

I heard thatthere is a team of developers behind this cryptocurrency... they get a part of the transaction fee for their work. I think this is absolutely ok... noone wants to work for free!
But I have one question: Does this mean this cryptocurrency is dependent on their team? If the team would stop working one day for some reason, would this cryptocurrency still work? Or would there then be problems, e. g. that the network would partially stop working, no more updates for security and so on... so without the people from this team... could beam survive as cryptocurrency?

Yes, I also think so... Team Beam does a good job and I believe there is a big need for this privacy coin. The best thing here is the low inflation rate - compared to Grin! it was just a theoretical question- I wanted to know if this cryptocurrency is fully dependent on this team or if other people also can add features, updates etc. to this cryptocurreny... ?

Beam is still open-source code so if you see anything in it that could use improvement or advancement, feel free to join in the discussion with dev team on chat channels Smiley
