Yeah that example with painting is pretty accurate! People are usually affected by such basic emotions as fear and anxiety.
And let's face it, our sources of information are great at creating confused atmosphere when reporting about crypto. Our ignorance is their target. It's really a challenge, making right choices amidst chaos of fake information.

the fear of declining that is getting deeper is a reason that makes most people better to sell their assets faster because they have their own speculations about the coin or token in the future

I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it’s way to early to be selling your altcoins. It’s like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

as long as it's profitable for them by selling altcoins and buying it into bitcoin in my opinion it's one of the strategies to make a profit. other than that maybe people don't believe in the altcoin they hold so they move to bitcoin or withdraw to FIAT. so anything can happen i think.

They/we are selling altcoins so soon in rush because of panic,people are panicing when they are seeing their money is being eaten by the volatility and they are scared to lose all their money so they sell it even if its in very low price

A lot of people have advised me on the necessity of keeping a part of the altcoins for long-term. I followed their advice in some cases and now I am regretting about my decision. None of the altcoins that I held for long-term gave me a good return. During 2018, many of the alts went down by as much as 95% or more. Even now, when the Bitcoin is undergoing a bull rally, these alts are not showing any hint of a recovery. Anyway... the alts are still in my wallet and they will be there for the next few years.

I'm selling my altcoins because if i don't sell them now, they will be worth nothing. Majority of the altcoins I have in my wallet are just shitcoins and they are not meant for a long hodl.  Not all altcoins are worth hodling for long in your wallet, its always advisable to sell them when the market price is okay.

Well said, we only sell if we have no option but to sell, there are times that life is tough and that's really happening.
The reason why we hold is to see a good profit, when I say good it should be something that satisfy us as an investor, and therefore we have to be strong enough in holding it since any time the market could dump, but it will always pump afterward, we should think that way so we will not loss hope.

Today, many users of cryptocurrency sell their assets at low prices due to the fact that cryptocurrency for them is practically the only way to generate income.  One way or another we are forced to sell, but this does not apply to everyone.
