Considering the fact that the launch of BAKKT is again postponed indefinitely, I guess Bitcoin could fall below $ 3,000. In the near future, sharp rise and fall are possible due to increasing volatility in holidays, however, the steady growth of BTC and other altcoins is likely to begin around mid-2019.

Bakkt isn't postponed indefinitely (actually your statement looks like a clickbait title (no offence, Happy New Year! )), it is just postponed for some time, hopefully for not long, because the Commodity Futures Trading Commission needs more time  to process Bakkt’s application. So, it won't be launched in January 24, 2019, but it can be launched a month later, which doesn't make a big difference, because it is still a very good news. Just yesterday Bakkt announced on their twitter and medium that they have completed their first round of funding of $182.5 million from 12 investors who believe in the future of digital assets. So, I agree with the OP's title, the future looks bright indeed.

but we also cannot rule out the fact that it is delayed indefinitely. can be next month, next year or not even launched. but even so I still believe that crypto will eventually rise. and what crypto really needs is a mass adoption, crypto must be used daily.

In this case we might have to consider a few things. First and the most important would be the idea about the volume of users using cryptocurrency. This changes a lot of perception as real usage create real flow of coins. The artificial flow created by holding coins causes a lot of volatility. Second would be the products or shops and stores where cryptocurrency are used. This two important things must be the first consideration even before any updates. So for me it is possible but it would even be more possible if the two things are met considerably even before the updates. I am hoping though positively on the updates soon.

Its obvious that the future of crypto is bright as many organizations are still warming up to adopt the blockchain technology system. We should be hoping for the best in 2019 and in the nearest future. But we should also be patient and avoid critics of the cryptosystem.

I think we can go much deeper. If bitcoin continues to fall down, people will panic again and some of those who bought altcoins lately will sell them trying to save their money. And I don't see any reasons why BTC should begin to grow steadily now. We won't see the new bull run until everybody loses hope and belief in crypto future.

I have no doubt that the crypto market will take off sooner or later. Unfortunately there are some problems with Bakkt launch, they have delayed it for the third time yesterday. Hopefully we'll see it till April...

I' thinking like you, bakkt news are good for market and if it happens then we will see new rise wave like 2017, I hope future will be bright like you said but now we must be patient.
