Do you always invest in top ranked coins?

Probably you will not believe me. Of the most popular coins, I only have Bitcoin and Ethereum. I make all my investments in the altcoins, which are not in the top 100.

investing in unknown coins is risky, but also has the opportunity to pay off well. of course the top coins are already time-tested and less dangerous, but they are stable.

As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

Investing in tip ranked coins does bit mean one would not lose, if the investment is not done wisely. Also, a careful  and wise investment on coins with ranks that are far below others might give huge profit. There are factors that need to be considered before masking any investment.
If the team of a coin that has low rank is serious, such coin might bring huge profit to the investors.

I try to invest only in these coins, because I consider them the most reliable. Investing in obscure coins can cause losses.

I always hold eth tokens at any time, because in my opinion ETH will grow big in the future. if there is a coin that has good potential why not invest, I will invest the ETH for coins that will advance and survive in the crypto world

I did not invest always to the coin who are in the rank because sometimes better to explore other coin who need to discover because they are not popular but potential. Because sometimes I get more profit who not in the top coins  than the coins who in the top or in rank.

everything in crypto from top to bottom has the same risk. just when many are suggesting better invest on top because coins are graded more secure and more mature. Besides the coins that are at the base also tend to not have the create system so it will be easy to falter with the existing conditions.

Really it's not matter which coin you chose even top or not. In the crypto any hour anything happen. Just today Market crash really in bad way and next day hard-fork coming of BCH. I learn one thing whenever you saw profit just run don't hold. Holding means loss and loss, profit is just if you are lucky.

Yes I do, especially BTC and ETH they are good for long term. Also, I invest in potential altcoins which can give good profit within a shortest time possible or at least mid-term holding.

Actually I don't always invest in the top coin list, just choose coins with high potential for the future like ebberapa coins with real teams and real goals. And in investment I have never forgotten Bitcoin and Ethereum in the list.

You seems not to know that having potential of a cryptocurrency is not enough cause the coin must also have good utility and community support or else the coin will be doom. However,choosing a high potential,utility and support is also not complete if ones dont buy or invest at the right time..

no there is a hidden gem in low ranked coins but you need to do your homework and takes your own risk good luck in your future investments and have a nice day my friend

Not always, but that is one of the best decisions. Also good to invest if you clearly know that new project from ICO is very good. If you find such project - it can bring you more money than already existing coin from top.

Sometimes if i have extra money, i buy some of it but i only focus on top ranked coins with cheap price like stellar, iota, cardano, ripple and some others. Now, another dip is experienced as bitcoin falls down to 5,000$ again and it's also expected alts will also fall down.

My answer to your question is quite simple. I only invest in the top 20 coins, and I'm sure of them. Of the 20 coins, I chose the 5 most interesting in my opinion, and thus minimized their risks.

indeed I prioritize coins that are in the top rank coinmarketcap for long-term investments, but for short-term investments or trading I prefer coins that are not too well-known but the price changes can be guessed and listings in some exchanges are easy to trade

As for me I always invest only in such popular coins like btc and ether, ripple, neo. I think that there will not be any benefit if you invest in some coins which aren't popular at all

They are not in that position for nothing, but that doesn't mean that you will yield a profit investing on these top coins whales can also manipulate these coins, so before you invest be sure that there is development on that coin and devs are very active too

Yes ill invest on it to the top ranked coins in cryptocurrency, Actually ill earn enough of it even if for a longterm investment.
Must better to invest to this top ranked coins than to not in the rank and they have a chance loss of your money on it.

Investing in the top-ranked coin is somehow a good thing because they are a little bit less volatile if we compare them with the new and low-rank coins. So invest is top-ranked is considered as a safe investment but it's not like that we should invest in all top-ranked coins it's better to research and invest only in those which you think are good ones.

Its definitely correct mate that you must first know the basic in cryptocurrency before investing. And when talking about investments, i will rather choose those in higher ranks compared to new projects as a beginner like you so that you will be far from scam because right now,  there has a lot of projects that has not been successfully raised. While if you choose those good coins, prices are stable into it.
