The market starts scaring the shit out of me. What the hell is wrong with the cryptocurrency market? What on earth is going on in the cryptocurrency market? I used to justify the recent market crash as a 'fake dump' but now it starts freaking me out! So, where do you guys think is the next bus stop for bitcoin? I'm thinking isn't this beyond 'hash wars' or Bakkt launch fake dump by the whales?

yes, basically, this, I have been buying lately, not madly, just buy more as it goes down, I hold a long term view on this, although something is not right with the market, I guess its a cataclysm of many factors and cannot be finger pointed to one thing, I did buy a bit at the 6k mark, but I never put in what I can afford to lose, it will pay off, might take most of my life but it will get there lol.

This situation is appropriate to make even the senior players panic, the price of sliding down is lower than predicted, there are many outstanding reasons that I think are confusing the atmosphere, I feel less confident to suggest you HOLD for longer, but that is the way one the only thing and not just an option to keep prices from dropping even though it needs to be mentally steeled for that, this situation indeed makes many loyal investors disappointed, hopes that there will be good news at the end of the year it feels very unlikely

Look at the bigger picture and you will find the answer. The global stock markets have seen a massive dump in IT based stocks and derivatives and this is most likely why Bitcoin and Crypto currency investments are also struggling. Bitcoin is also part of a bigger IT investment portfolio and investors are running away from high risk investments now.

We should actually thank our lucky stars that the ETF was not approved, because if institutional investors were invested in that, then we would have seen even more dumping of Crypto currency investments.

I just understood about the fire that occurred in crypto,the drop in world stock prices made the crypto follow suit but a part of this decline was not clear that there were shrimp behind the rock.BTC from 6K then fall to 3K now at the moment which is probably the latest reason to take advantage of the purchase later when all panic sell,2020 new bullish that might make people panic swallowed hard.

The situation seems less and less safe each day. During this long price drop, I came to thinking that it's okay for btc to be worth around $6-7k, since it will surely never go below $5900. Why? Because it never did in a year until recently. When it went a bit below $5k, I was like 'Wellm that sucks, but it's due to unpredictable bitcoin cash shit that happened out of thin air, btc will get over it soon'. I don't even know how the price is already below $4k... I am losing a lot of money that I was supposed to be earning and saving... It's really hard for me to sit and do nothing, hoping that the price will get better. I am still holding, but I am not sure how long I'll be able to put up with it.

In my opinion. This storm will continue until early 2019. We can predict the condition of crypto will be able to recover or not around January 2019. When in January the market conditions did not improve, the storm will continue. many experts say that this condition occurs because it is approaching Christmas and the turn of the year. so this condition has occurred in the previous year and crypto can rise after the turn of the year each year.

In my opinion the situation should change soon. Since the global crisis is gringing, you need to pour money somewhere. I think the cryptocurrency market is ideal for investing here. Thus, the price will start to grow.

I am losing a lot of money that I was supposed to be earning and saving... It's really hard for me to sit and do nothing, hoping that the price will get better. I am still holding, but I am not sure how long I'll be able to put up with it.

If your main purpose was to save up, how exactly are you losing money? Virtual gains or losses aren't fact until you sell your coins. It's a psychological battle people are facing rather than something that actually hits them.

People save up fiat for years without touching a penny, and suddenly it's a problem that the price experiences a short term dip? Try to distance yourself from fiat and think in BTC. 1BTC is still 1BTC.

Stay strong and hodl through this harsh end phase of the bear market. If you don't need any money in the coming months, don't sell anything. Don't let greedy whales shake you out that easily--build up solidity as hodler.

that happens because bitcoin has already reached fantastic prices, so investors are investing their funds. and it turns out that prices are declining during 2018, that's what makes them await the surprise of bitcoin

if im not mistaken last year price before the bull run start is about 3000$ so it is a good indication that the market will return strong soon so patience is must with this kind of market.

I already see this red markings again in the market and that is one scary situation. Im just so shocked that bitcoin is going down and now its only 3.5k. A bad news for everyone. Eventhough some people still have their trust to bitcoin but the feeling of hopelessness will occur sone point. We cant deny the fact that we are worriying about it and we cant do anything about it but to wait. I just hoping that this moment is just because of economic crisis so im stil waiting for a major comeback of bitcoin soon.

Scenario development in the near future is not the best I assure you!! The days of decline are not over yet and what is happening with bitcoin and all altcoins is the result of crazy growth in 2017.
To some extent, the reasons that you have indicated indirectly influenced the decline in prices , but the main reason is that there is no good news, and it confuses investors.

Other cryptocurrencies are starting to make a run on the top 3. This weekend we have seen ETH lose out on its 2nd position by market cap. Bitcoin will hold dominance for a while to come, but I would say in 10 years time this may not be the case.
