I think the main use of altcoins is going to be similar to what we see now, I do not expect them to actually be used as currencies they will be used as a way to speculate in an unregulated market, this may not seem like much but it has a great advantage over the rest of the markets that are full of regulations.
But when it comes to actually be used as currencies you can forget about that, people are not going to accept a bunch of useless altcoins when they will prefer to accept the only coin they know will have a value no matter what happens and that coin is bitcoin.
Good point. The focus on regulation appears to be only at the bitcoin-fiat interface. Whereas simply exchanging one alt to another is unregulated as they are just "tokens". Which means they're the only space for unregulated stuff like pumps and dumps and volatility trading. |

It's too early to mention altcoins useless in the future, the fact is there are some merchants who accept payments with altcoins. Not to mention
an institution as big as UNICEF accepts altcoins for donation payments. So I think altcoins will be useful in the future. Indeed, I must admit 90%
of altcoins are useless, but there are still around 10% of altcoins that can be useful. Especially in the future there will be more countries that legalize
cryptocurrency, the role of altcoins is increasingly visible.

My personal opinion is that while not Bitcoin most of the new coins can quit of the e-market There square measure some token coins that can influence you in several ways that and carry Bitcoin we have a tendency to believe that bitcoin will stay a present to following generation however if it doesn't use it permanently then it's some dangerous aspects.

The major issue with altcoins is that they have too many projects which ultimately give space to scammers. There is no separate exchange or agency that could separate legit projects from scams. I am of view that bitcoin would stay on the top of crypto currencies and will be used to make big transactions whereas altcoins like ethereum would be used to do buying and selling of small things. |

I think almost all new altcoins have the same technologies and capabilities as top altcoins, and therefore new altcoins will not be able to survive, but those new ones that appear with original and popular technologies will be able to survive and after some time will break into the top altcoins and the same thing i am looking in this project like Tron and Vechain. The adoption of the new altcoins will not give any impact to the old ones and the future of altcoin will be determined by the altcoin itself. In my opinion the competition will always be running and the ethereum and ripple will remain in the same place for the future.

Altcoins are not that expensive so this is why they are used for and will be used for making small purchases. Since bitcoin is the future of the world and is highly expensive, I second your thoughts about it that it would always be used for making huge transactions for business deals, clearing huge debts and so on. Indeed we need some system from registering all projects because this will save a lot of people from getting scammed. |

In the current market, there are many different altcoins, and they are created for different purposes. But until now I haven't seen any altcoins that can be used in the future, most of the current altcoins are now scams and have only been created to pump and dump. If there are widely used altcoins in the future, I think they will be created from government banks

Blockchain and dApps in ever improving form will probably take over most areas. Anything from marking products to tracking and management software is possible. We will get more and more decentralized marketplaces and financial services etc etc. It is quite powerful tool in our world and we can expect it to touch basically every aspect of our lives.

The only place I think altcoins has a future in is gambling, normal gambling but first and foremost e-betting.I can not see how it will take over from normal currency's in the world of buying or selling any other goods then btc. The main reason I think this is that nobody wants to be that guy that bought two pizzas for 10000 btc 5 years from now, so i cant really see what else it has a real future in. But that is only my opinion, What do you guys think?
I would love to be that guy who bought those pizzas. Because you can bet your bottom dollar that he had plenty more bitcoin than just those 10,000 and he's now sitting very pretty in life. Who cares about buying a ridiculously overpriced pizza when you've got more money than you'll ever need. What if he sold his bitcoin for low price also? Yes it is good for the people that stay and wait till a certain coin pumps. They can actually be a multi millionaire soon. Imagine, bitcoin that does not have value before became the most valuable asset and investment in the market. If I had a chance to bring back our life, I will choose to be a bitcoin buyer before. If I knew it already, I think I will be the one that will get bitcoin. |

This time altcoin use for good purposes but we also see bad thing ( drug, weapon and gambling ). As long there's no regulation to manage altcoin people will use it for those purposes and now there's adult project accept altcoin as payment. We should see the positive side from altcoin and use it for something good, such as blockchain development, education and charity. I think in future countries will use it for that purposes.

Governments are not dumb they are not going to pass a bunch of laws trying to regulate if you can exchange your bitcoin for altcoins when they know they have no way to enforce those rules, so the laws they are passing are for those that are trying to convert their bitcoin or altcoins to fiat. But even those regulations will be completely ineffective as people begin to accept cryptocurrencies directly, at that point bitcoin and a few good altcoins like ethereum will be impossible to stop. |

I think altcoins may replace the current payment system and being good holding asset. Lots of altcoins have good feature like fast transaction confirm, decentralize, high security, avoid hackers, ... I think with those feature, altcoins may become the best payment system in the future.  |

It would be possible that there is a lot of altcoins in the future and only few of them will be used for an alternative payment and other services that needed a cryptocurrency.
And we all know that even some of new altcoins today worthless or just created to make money and make fake promises to the investors.
If we see that there are only new projects to make money and there is no intention to develop the projects they bring, so it can be said that projects like this will become useless later. And it is true that you say, maybe only a few altcoins later that can be used as payments or arguably can make it easier for us who use cryptocurrency to make payments. |

Indeed we can't just set aside altcoins and focus on bitcoin, altcoins will innovate same as bitcoin and it might surpass bitcoin in some point like what you have mentioned about faster transactions but of course altcoins is also a way for scammers to fulfill their evil deeds so if we are talking about being used it is one but others usage of it in future will be some certain altcoin or altcoins may be used more often than bitcoin like ETH, XRP and etc because people will focus on investing on bitcoin and holding it more than using it in a daily basis. So to conclude altcoins will be used in the future like how we used fiat money today. |

crypto gambling already exists so I don't think that's the best for the future of crypto. used as a general payment is good, but in online quotes. because fiat will still be used. for example online electricity token payment using crypto, online water bill payment using crypto. so besides crypto is increasingly used and profitable, crypto is also really useful for life, not just gambling is thought of.

I think in the future altcoin will remain like this as long as people are still buying bitcoin, altcoin will not be a gamble and also the use of altcoin is not just a digital currency because now many altcoin projects are working with large companies

Though most of the altcoins are that good as we think of but there are still some who are worthy to place our investment. Just like what OP have mentioned it can be used in online gambling but in my opinion it is better for trade. Alts have small transactional fees compared to Bitcoin so I think it will he much better for scalp trading. |

I think some of the altcoins will be able to use as a part of a everyday transaction like our fiat money. Having a different kinds of payment method is kinda good because the customer itself will be having a different options in terms of how they are going to pay the goods that they are going to buy.
