It's not something new, it's just the same InstantSend / PrivateSend technology that Dash introduced back in 2016 and for your question, it refers to sender's wallet address, it takes a set of different transactions of similar sizes and mix them together which makes impossible to track from what address funds are.

I guess it will still be traceable since blockchain is a transparent ledger for transactions. I guess the best wayto hide your transaction is to use vpn and shapeshift.

How does shapeshift getting involved make it less transparent? They're a for profit company that tracks you and often asks for your ID to release the coins

Good to hear this. People should know and aware this information so that they will even more become interested to the Stelo project. Testing the Stelo will bring more opportunities to it to go further analysis and further checking for developments of the project.
