Exciting times. We are starting our path towards the migration preparations. Please find the suggested plan for our current (TWINS 1.0) network update:

1. New TWINS wallets will be released by September 12 and the community is welcome to update and restart their nodes with the new protocol. The sooner you update the more chances you have to win more blocks with the current block reward.
2. Protocol enforcement will be applied about three weeks after, target block height: 700000, estimated date: 30 September to 2 October
 (this means that wallets with current version will stay outside the mainnet, until updated)
3. First halving event will occur about two weeks after the enforcement, target block height: 711111, estimated date: 15 October
4. During the next 66666 blocks, TWINS rewards will be reduced by half (+/-) about every 7-8 days.
5. The last halving event will set the block reward for 2 TWINS, target block height: 777777, estimated date: 15 January

This gradual reward reduction schedule will allow enough time for everyone to update their wallets and get into masternodes round in time. FIX network will follow the same plan, but with 6 weeks delay.

Please, note! This is sandbox account build, you should have a VPN setup in order to test it (otherwise, app simply won't load).

Release notes:
- PinCode with Biometrics flow (you will be asked to setup biometrics upon first unlock);
- Settings screen (you can setup/change your pin there and turn on/off biometrics);
- Transfer funds with PinCode/Biometrics, no Google 2FA required (it is still available until the PinCode is set);

PinCode flow:
Now to setup your pin code you'll need to approve your action by email. Until it's done, your pin is not active.
You'll have a banner in settings screen while the pin is not authorized.
Note! Validation email link is valid only for 30 minutes.

I did not yet see what messages come as I would guess via sms to the ones who are not yet registered in the system, but if person is registered already, then his account is automatically found in the system and debited with funds sent
As I still did not try ir all, so not sure if what formats we can write down numbers, eg in Lithuania we could use +370... ; 8600... ; or international without "+"
so interesting if all would work

Less than 24 hours before New Years. 2022 year!
Let's look back.
I am glad that I can be a member of this community.
I see interesting progress and huge gains.
A few weeks ago, I hooked up to launch a new testnet.
In short:
@kemi  did a lot and fixed it. @Explorers  and @tov. Bender  set up a dokerhub for container storage.
I have tested network startup in various modes and non-standard situations.
Whoever watched online see that the whole network is working  ( http://159.69.211.60:8080/ )
Why don't we have a testnet yet? Perhaps the problems are on my side.
I have tested a lot, but ..... I have problems with voting tests.
In some cases, voting does not continue (the network sees the voters, tracks their number ... but the blocks are not finalized).
The network has many settings and protections.
Also, I started running catapult-net more than a year ago and saw similar problems, nodes often crash. Maybe my standard VPS is weak. Now I have connected 2 new, more powerful ones.
What's next?
Everything is working! After the New Year, we will finalize the GitHub, launch testnet and everyone can try it.

 Aggregated data views for chain review have been partly completed and now offer top rich list, block list, transaction list per block, details of transaction
 Issue with SMS sending and registration on wallet app has been resolved


TODO:
 To trace and fix the memory leak on wallet.app backend
 To add listed coin images in wallet.app API, so the mobile app could update dynamically
 To deploy one instance of the new chain.review API on a public network
 To initiate web interface developing for the new chain.review
 The task “To implement KYC/AML natively in the wallet.app mobile application” has been postponed, as the solution provider has committed to release SDK for REACT NATIVE for us. This will save us time, and we can progress with other tasks in the meantime

Here is the recent update from Thursday’s sync meeting
DONE:
 SMS for new user invites by phone has been improved and now opens nicely designed web page with the amount and sender information.
 Public instance for new chain.reivew beta API has been deployed.
 Cluster data has been implemented on the new chain.review infrastructure
 BTC, DGB, LTC, DOGE, DOGEC and BCH nodes has been added to the new chain.review infrastructure.
New public API has been released to provide price information in FIAT currencies and transfer fees for mobile wallet.app.
New version for wallet.app mobile has been submitted to App Stores. This version will include access to phone contacts, ability to send USD equivalent and improved UI and QR scan functionality.

 TWIX network re-launch process has been set up and there is a great progress with adjusting the functionality to the TWINS needs, including the current supply that is greater than original design by Symbol, as well as the the dynamic supply/demand  inflation mechanism.
 Listed coins and their images API has been released for wallet.app. The mobile app may now present the newly listed coins immediately without app updates.
