Ethereum has already improved very well in this early year (2019). It has come back in second place and seems to be stronger. It is quite impossible for Waves to overtake Ethereum. Sometimes I wonder if you guys carry out research before posting some questions or comments in the forum. Just because Waves rose by 100% doesn’t mean it’s going to become the next ETH. There are coins that have done that over ten times but they are not able to reach the top hundred list not to talk being the next Ethereum. So I’m sorry, the answer to your question is a NO.

It would be nicer if you go beyond the movements of prices. More importantly, it is not good to immediately jump into some form of imaginary ideas and far-fetched conclusions simply because a certain coin is growing big time. It is more interesting to get to know the reasons behind the very strong pumps. It was caused most probably by the good news surrounding the project. Meet-ups and speaking engagements here and there, the upcoming Vostok Project which is basically still linked to the Waves blockchain, the huge funding that they were able to secure for the same project. I am also excited about the future of Waves.

With respect to waves, I can say that it's a good coin but I don't think right now it has that big support from the people to replace ETH in its spot.
In terms of platform application, ETH is still dominating and the pump that happen is just temporary and waves are now back to its stable price. I will only agree that waves will replace ETH if it has move positively when all the alts are going down, unfortunately, not what we see now.
