in my opinion, 80 is not exactly right at risk. if I want to buy I have more top20 because the trading volume is quite large. nowadays I have more coins that are relatively safe than coins that can generate big profits. because my goal is to invest here for the long term

The main thing is the project's activity. At github and social medias. Plus the price should be below 95%. These are my main thresholds when I'm choosing crypto assets for investments. There are pretty few projects from top 100 which fit them.

Now I have reoriented more to short-term trading with Altcoins not with the top 100 (ADX, MNX, ARK, KICK etc.), they have a lot of volatility and have a steady income.

Best syndrome of best coin is trading volume. Ethereum is now no longer in second of coinmarketcap because volume. By this example you would get your answer.
I see the difference between xrp and ethereum is very small and very likely tomorrow or in the immediate future ethereum will beat xrp in the coinmarketcap. the good news of hardfork ethereum will help improve the ethereum position, I am very sure. |

I agree that now great prices as coins are on the bottom, but they have to make a decision to buy them and when. There is a risk but it is not as big as it was before in my opinion.

Yes, the diversification in larger scale will lead to another level of problems. I never look for investing up to 80 different assets. I do not know what are the plans people are having to manage all the 80 coins effectively. This is our hard earned money and not just simple work to go for something blindly. Moreover by choosing the top 80 coins, there will be no guarantee for the risk is completely eliminated. |

It doesn't matter if they in the top 100 coins in coinmarketcap. When you look past even the top 10 coins erased from the market. It happened before it will happen again.

all coins are basically good, no need to be included in the coinmarketcap top 100, it's just optional. What must be considered is the community and also the trading volume in the market, it is also useless for a coin but it has a bad volume in the exchange. And its not suitable for trade, especially if you're long-term holder |

I think it depends on the volume because there are altcoins that are top 100 low-supply so expensive price and so many consumers it's also possible in many good projects so many people like and many investors also buy as I agree with the another post is better to buy altcoins in the top 100 because it is safer than others because maybe it's already tested and there are coins in the top 100 so it's good to buy and hold it but not all in the top 100 coins can be said just because it's new and it's not permenent its own posteriors so it's possible to upgrade the price and rank so it's scary sometimes you can lose big once that you're wrong with choosing and buying altcoin that you're buying Before you buy an altcoin make sure you earn it when you buy it for your money.

specifically for the big 10, it looks really good lately. but I still don't see bitcoin moving well, but the 2 coins that I observe will soon rise to the moon are etherum and bitcoin cash. I will invest in these 2 coins.

How long will you continue to choose coins to use as an investment place? of the 100 coins listed on the market why you did not choose number 1 that has been proven and is able to compete with the highest score. Bitcoin is the most appropriate choice. if you are afraid, don't invest in digital currency. |

buy at the top of the coin are indeed provide better results than there are under them. the coins are in a higher position certainly have higher volume so that many investors there are in it. Besides the coins on the position of the top rated more potentially will be able to produce and continue to grow for the long term.

Buying 80 coins is too many for an investment portfolio for a start, I suggest you to do research of all these coins and drill down to maybe 10 coins to start off with. You can slowly add on more coin to your portfolio as time go by.

i do not totally agree with you, it is always risk in making investment on the basis of rank . however there may be profit as well. we have seen these top 20 coins gone up to 50 x and than back to their position. i prefer to make the investment only after doing research instead of making it in top 10 or 20 coins.

I am thinking that the best altcoins to invest in at the moment would be the coins in the top 25 to 30 spots other unproven coins in the lower reaches of the top 100 spots may prove unpopular when the market turns round. Coins that are already established I am hoping will quickly regain value.

Yes I too think buying top 10 - 15 coins itself is worth it unless some one has ample money then can buy so many coins for short and long term . Even with limited capital if bought the better coins you would be making good returns on your investment and finally will get great returns than any other investment done in stock market , real estate etc . |
