The OP of that thread is cross-posting that post across forums, and I'm not sure if that's allowed or not. He might be the original author of this post in reddit (they have the same usernames on both here and reddit), but shouldn't there be some sort of indication that the info was posted somewhere else?

Well the write up is theirs (RiseX project) and it's original so since both username are the same i don't think there's an issue their. Read the write up & you'll understand it's more of an advert for their project and normally when projects promote themselves they don't Indicate that same promotional advert was posted somewhere else but that isn't why I reported post. I was more interested in the replies and didn't have smerit to merit them that's why I reported.
Edit: Saw you merited stompix, thanks.

It's fine. Although avikz wrote good post but his rank is above legendary. I don't think we should report legendary rank here especially if only good post. Below legendary rank need to upgrade rank. Try to find more lower rank especially Jr. Member to full members. They need merit to rank up, and obviously they should write good post at least. Like recently I have sent few merit to you, it's not just for good post also want to help your rank up since you were very near of full member. By the way congratulations on (new) Full Member rank.....

Most of the info in that thread whizzed right over my coconut, but it's not hard to tell which posts were very thoughtful. I merited a couple of members there of lower ranks. I'm all out of source sMerits and don't have that many earned ones, so I had to be very choosy who I gave them to. Thanks for that link, and I wish there was more reporting in this thread.

I've found a good one (in my opinion) Trust Feedback PoliciesDescription : Guidelines to avoid negative feedback from DT Category : guide Section : Beginners & Help (was moved from Meta to Beginners & Help) It’s a good guide for newcomers to make them aware of untrustworthy behaviour. Unfortunately, I’m out of sMerit but I think OP deserves some Merit for his collection of general things which are important to know for Newbies.

Thanks for that link, and I wish there was more reporting in this thread.
I couldn't agree more... I never seem to be able to get below 100 sMerit I just don't seem to find posts that I consider meritable in my normal forum travels. I admit that I have a relatively limited range of boards that I generally frequent... so any help that people can give pointing me in the direction of meritable posts would be greatly appreciated!

I admit that I have a relatively limited range of boards that I generally frequent... so any help that people can give pointing me in the direction of meritable posts would be greatly appreciated! Personally, I found that one way to find decent posts to merit is to look at some of the merit receivers that you have already given out, and then see what those members are meriting and what threads they are participating in. Frequently, you can go to threads that they merited and/or participated in and then find additional posts to merit through that kind of a quasi-random scanning of threads/posts. Surely, I don't always have time to engage in such thread/post scanning, and of course, without being too much of a merit prude (hahahahaha) having some diligence with merit sending should be attempted.

1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Thanks for that link, and I wish there was more reporting in this thread.
I know I was one of the active users (if not the most active user) few months back reporting posts I felt deserve merit then I got about 20smerit to merit others (although now am out) I stopped reporting because when I see worthy posts I merit them but can't report since the rules says. Rules Post a link to a good post without Merit.
I saw that post Coolcryptovator reported from B&H because I'm active there but again the rule above was the reason I didn't report it. Maybe the rule has to be change so we can report posts even after we merit them or report post's without enough merits. Although from his report I now know it's ok to report already merited posts but other users won't from the rule. So I suggest it should be updated.

Maybe the rule has to be change so we can report posts even after we merit them or report post's without enough merits. I'll leave the rule as is: people often claim many good posts remain unmerited, and that's the main reason to create this topic. However, I won't be very strict on it, so if a post deserves a lot more than it has, feel free to post a link here.

I think you are not allowed to post your own threads/posts if you consider the purpose of the thread. I will report a post here when I will be out of sMerits and that's the main point of this thread.

Exactly I saw that comment by loyceV that's why I report my thread for the first time previously I report other users thread/replies and sometimes their replies on my thread. Also that's why i ended with this statement "Post is welcome to constructive criticism" so I can take corrections.

how can merit sources have users on ignore ? Contrary to popular belief, I'm only human. I'm not obligated to read everything anyone posts, and if it bores me, I stop reading. Also: this isn't the place to discuss this, please do that here.

how can merit sources have users on ignore ? that is not fair you are not supposed to merit posts only that you agree with but good posts that took a lot of effort
Without getting into any specific case of whether a specific member or a specific member's posts justify merit. I think that it is worth mentioning that merit sources, just like regular members, retain a large amount of discretion regarding which posts they merit or not, and how they use the forum including which threads they visit, which posts they read and whether they choose to ignore some users. Merit sources can employ their discretion to merit or not merit posts for nearly any reason that they want or no reason at all, as long as it is not some kind of selling or quid pro quo kind of reason. Of course, there could be other kinds of merit abuse that a merit source could engage in, and determining merit abuse, would be up to theymos to determine on a case by case basis, also completely discretionary for theymos to determine whether a merit source is abusive in his/her meriting conduct or if a merit source should continue as a merit source... theymos does not need a reason to remove a merit source from such status. There is NO standard that "taking a lot of effort" compels any merit source to merit posts, especially if the merit source in his/her discretion could find a variety of subjective or objective reasons NOT to merit such post.. and like I said, merit sources don't need a reason. I doubt that there is any need for me to attempt to list all the many reasons that a merit source might choose NOT to merit posts, but surely, as already mentioned, "taking a lot of effort" in and of itself would not compel any meriting action from a merit source. It is almost humorous to consider the idea (and possible examples) that merely "taking a lot of effort" should compel the meriting of posts.
