Can't believe after almost 2 pages of arguing no one has mentioned this. From .5% chance of a block creating PoT reward to 80%. That is a huge change. Have none of you seen this? - 8x the output of flutter in rewards from PoT - added security due to more PoT checkpoints - 20 FLT set reward rather than half the block reward - reduced required transaction amount from 500 FLT to 1 Previously the reward would have ended up minuscule, while now it is a set rate and has a much better chance of happening. You're all so caught up in everything that has little relation to the coin itself.

But as far as I understand the current state of affairs the paper is a proposal, not a final spec. Not aware of the timeline to transition to this, if there is one yet. But it is good to see some progress toward making PoT more enticing and a more equal partner in the ecosystem, alongside PoS.

Are you sure it's a set reward? From what I've read I tend to think it's just an example, and there are no exact numbers given for PoT rewards.

LeBarton, please pay attention that we are talking about the PoT reward. PoT and PoW are different things.

thekidcoin, you should make a quote in the top part of your first post in the topic with the new specs of the new POT system And showing us some examples to help people to understand what's the change. As example, if you send 10 000 coins to someone, how much will you be rewarded and what's the chance to be rewarded too. I'm just thinking it would be helpful to gain more attention from this important upgrade

Building binaries now and will release them and the code today. As of now, will take effect at block 55K (that may go up to 56k though)

I'm just thinking it would be helpful to gain more attention from this important upgrade If you read the specs and the white paper, it tells you... 5% of the PoW reward. The amount you send doesn't matter. This is not something you should try to do though, it's just something that may happen. You have a greater chance if you sending coins to a single address, and if you send a ton of transactions, or to a ton of addresses, you have no chance pretty much. The harder you try to win, the harder it is to win.

Fluttercoin looks like an angel compared to the scam coins this week. Those coins a pretty much worth nothing right now, unfortunately all those investors are broke and we probably won't be seeing that money flow back into FLT Having said that, the reward structure change is a good thing. It shows me that the developer is willing to make the neccessary changes to make this coin succesful. There's only so much the dev can do, the rest is up to the community. Everyone seems to panic whenever we have a big holder sell their coins. All these people buy into FLT expecting to make money when the price raises and then sell when the price doesn't go up. This is causing a constant selling of the coin, and until we reach the bottom the coin can't go back up. As to where the bottom is, no one knows... So here are the things we can look forward to: - We have a reward structure change which makes PoT a factor of the coin. Any investor that left based on this will be paying attention to this.
- We have 2 active developers which are available to changes and fixes to the coin and have been honest with us since the beginning. This brings good confidence in a coin during a time when people are getting burnt all over the place
- We have a multipool which should bring an upward pressure once it gets released. The last update has been 2 days ago though, hopefully we hear something new soon.
- We're getting a facelift on the main website and the pool, which I believe are being paid for by the devs
- Rewards have halved and the miners that are here to dump will have a smaller influence on the coin price
These are all nice to have but the community needs to step up and do something about it. We're getting a reward structure change and there is no buzz about it anywhere. We need to get the word out so people get interested in this coin again. Once the selling stops, and an uptrend gets established I think it'll be tough to stop this coin from reaching what I believe is it's true value. Once of the best things that blackcoin did was have a blog/news section on their website. It was a great place to keep updated with what was going on with fluttercoin. Can we get something like that for fluttercoin? It should be real easy for people to find out what is going on with the coin without having to scour the forums/twitter.

Intersting, i saw FLT @ 2.5K and now is 900 sat, i hope it's not another bad investment. And beta multipool payed me less when the price is 900 sat, then when it was 1050 sat.

It surprises me that such things are not yet discussed, therefore I am asking the dev (team) what are the long term plans for Fluttercoin? Is your goal to become a well known coin, which can be used worldwide or just a coin where you can earn money by mining and trading.
It is clear that there is a decent dev on board, but what are future plans? Very important (IMHO) for future investors and bag holders
