Ethereum has planned the hardfork to be implemented next month and this will definitely change the fundamental of ethereum but not sure about ripple. the price of ripple looks very stable compared to the ethereum and just waiting the next news.

I would be hesitant at the moment of investing too heavily in the market as there is no clear direction and every climb is followed by a fall. It makes sense to keep on investing smaller amounts and take advantage of low average costs at the moment spreading out your purchases over several weeks and months. The fight for second spot in the market cap is indeed pretty close between ETH and XRP but if there is a recovery I suspect that ETH will leave XRP well behind in 3rd place.

I don't see be number 2 or 3 is the issue we should be care about but what they offer as service to the industry cos the coin supply and it price is what made up the market cap which is used to arrange in market cap list so if xrp is also millions coin am sure it will not be where it is and same goes to other coin and token with low and high supply but are good project and they are not in top 10 because of their current cap and price and once they gain more price value they will move up too just like ETH with 100mln+coin and if it does 100% the vale will be double and xrp that is billion you will see that the supply is what makes most in top and not really the service they offer.

hard fork ethereum was delayed from the initial schedule, I wasn't sure that the hardfork would have much effect on the price of ethereum, but the ripple didn't seem to have any plans in the future (including doing hardfork like ethereum).

No, you should not trust XRP. Show me a single good thing this coin has achieved in its years of existence. Any real word use? Any adoption? Even Dash is being used in third world countries, Monero is the preferred extortion and black market coin, ETH is the king of smart contracts and XRP? All talk not much action.
People are only keeping money in this shitcoin because it could pump if Bitcoin dies but it won't happen.

Xrp is an alt like eth but it can surpass what eth done from the past years. Eth has been doing such great network specially the platform it has witb blockchain network. Not a big deal, yet they still both cryptocurrencies that are benficial, but they have the advantage to become way more better through competition between one another here in the crypto space.
