The beginners board is a bit discouraging, and I've tried several threads there. I think it needs stricter moderation to encourage new potential Bitcoiners to use it. I started Fit to Talk because of the difficulties in getting interaction on the beginners board.
I tried to get some info on mining, but had to go to another forum to discuss it. I wasn't knowledgeable enough to be included in the discussions here, and the beginners board just gets spammed into uselessness. I want to learn about Dash, but I have had to join the Dash forum to learn about that, I gave up on the alt boards here quite a while ago, and I've got them in ignore. I'm turning to global politics in my old age, and crypto and anti-bankster topics are an important part of this. I believe that this is compatible with the aims of Bitcoin Talk, and this is probably why I try to encourage some discussions. The replies are a great help to me, and they have changed a lot of my attitudes. I have also found a greater awareness of the changes that are going on in the world. This video by the rapper Lil Dicky with 112 million views was an eye opener for me.
