Investing in Bitcoin in 2019?

I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.


What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

Everything in the market is a bubble. I mean not only the cryptocurrency market but also ordinary shares. Bitcoin is a great and reliable technology that does not depend on any state and I think that the technology will develop. So I invest in bitcoin and not afraid that it will burst. The demand for it will increase over the years, even if it is banal to give an example that it becomes less. Bitcoin mathematically creates this for growth.

It's a very fine day to invest though the market doesn't go along with what we are expecting. It is a right time but think of it if you're also good if the market didn't go according to what believe that after dump it will be pump.

This 2019 looks like 2015, after huge drop from 1200 dollars to 150 dollars people here were talking about game over for bitcoin, to invest further or not, will there be new ATH, what to do, people who bought on top were crying everywhere about losing their precious money, how wrong they were when they invested in bitcoin.
Now we have some price that is perfectly fine for me, the ones who got in over 10k dollars dont agree with that for sure. If anyone asks me next year price will be higher, so if you don`t buy now or this days, while price is under 4k dollars maybe you will not be able to buy ever again on that price.

The advice in crypto investment is not to invest what you can not afford to lose. But for Bitcoin I can ignore that rule, Bitcoin investment is a sure deal for it has a lot to offer the investor that is if you can be strong enough not to panic when the value crash.

It appears 2019 has good news for the entire crypto market. Crypto seems to be receiving lots of attention this year with the UN restating its interest in crypto. The UN has chosen to utilize IOTA and Ripple in its operations. This is a good start for another bull market.

I understand that $5k-$10k is a big money and losing it would be painful for anyone. Nevertheless, it looks like those are money you can afford to lose without tragic consequences. If that is so, invest right now because at this point it is much more likely that the price will rise than will go down (in the long term of course). Why? Well, first of, the adoption is rising. Secondly, people who were going to kill Bitcoin with massive sell outs are starting to realize that it's an impossible mission, and they are only losing their money (millions of USD each day). When they stop selling their BTC by thousands, rising will start. And although they can do that for some period of time additionally, they can't do it indefinitely.

Since the market is highly volatile is very hard for any individual to give you an accurate statistics on when to invest and make any profits, the market is unpredictable and it most time have to deal with risk taking. So the best I can tell you is to take the risk if you can and only invest what you can afford to lose incase of any in eventuality.

I am agree that this is a good time for buying bitcoin and hold it for long term. Bitcoin price drop more than 80% from highest price and i think bitcoin will survive for long term and the price will recover again
