Investing in Bitcoin in 2019?

I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.


What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

Why are you listening to them that the bitcoin is bubble even you know the benefits that will give you of bitcoin. I know it's hard to trust but if you not to try how can you know the outcome. It depends on you how will you manage and handle it,ww know that bitcoin is good to use even its risky.

Actually I think the bull race will start in 2020 at the earliest. But recently the Bitcoin price has a serious upside potential after $4,300, and I'm buying it to take advantage of this upward opportunity. It's not a advice,  because If Bitcoin's price drops, I can wait for a long time.

You seem to be very optimistic as for the bull run.
We are already reaching the half of this year and the market is so stagnant that I don't expect any bull run this year. The same goes for 2020. We need to be patient to see some real growth in the mass adoption part and see a bull run.

As expected market has started to rise and crossed 4900$. So those who were observing at 4100$ that fall will come and did not bought it would have really missed making 800$ in some time only on 1 btc. So people who had being buying has started to make some gains.

This isn't a bull run, I have a feeling that we will not only reach $5,000, we will still climb more and this consistent increase will continue.
If there is a dump which also possible to happen, we should stay calm, price will again rise since we are in the bull market now.

well, currently investing in bitcoin is indeed very promising. I do have the opinion that this year there will be an increase, a price, and this is really happening now. I feel that this increase in bitcoin prices will continue to occur this year, so I think people who have bitcoin this year will feel the change.

I think of it as a long term savings plan....only use money you would otherwise be saving anyway. If you are going to save some money, take some of that and use it to buy some bitcoin. That way it is not money that is going to be desperately needed any time soon.

I am happy to have a stable well-paid job. It gives me the opportunity to invest in the cryptocurrencies regularly and to make adiitional money. Certainly, Bitcoin is the number 1 crypto you must invest in.

I don't think long-term investment in bitcoin is a good thing at the moment because bitcoin is no longer as flashy as in the past, although bitcoin's position and power is still number one, it maintains its dominance but we can see the weakening of bitcoin in recent years is too obvious, and this situation continues to happen, that is really a dangerous sign for investors. instead of long-term investment, we should think about short-term investments, choose the times when bitcoin is low and buy then sell at high prices, that is the logical strategy in this period
