Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins

Maybe another situation. I'll tell you how it was on my example.
In July, I received an award for participating in the bounty campaign of a single project. Seeing that the market is falling, I hurried to sell my tokens and earned 3 Ethereum, which was a good reward at that time. If I had sold my tokens now, I would have earned 30 Ethereums.
Situations are different and much depends on luck.

One of the common mistakes by most holders is selling off coins right after receiving them without paying attention to the potentials of the coin/project. I think it's because they need that money for their life and some of them make money from the bounty. You have just gain those altcoins from bounties and airdrops but it seems like you had bought them by all of your resources?what you are telling us to just sell the coins or tokens the moment e receive those?are you serious?

This is the sad thing if the person only relying in crypto world and has no real life ventures because all of the earnings they get from here will feed their family,please guys lets make this things clear that crypto profiteering is not good to live our lives instead lets make this as a extra source of income while we are waiting for the total adoption in which might bring us to riches if we will save all the legitimate tokens and coins we will gather here.

I agree with that mate! We should not wait the market to get it's bull run and we should hold our investments in the way that we have a really good plan or strategy. Which I mean is we should choose to ourselves if we will gonna be a short term holder or long term holder with our invested currency and I think we can we also need to learn to our mistakes in the past year in able to get a better earnings.

Holding for a long term coins it comes in a years or sometimes a months only, But about holding must better to choose to those potential coins even if this will be for a longterm but the important was we get some big profit of that.

yes, of course we can't sell at a price that is very far from the level of ico, because if we do it, there will be many losses that we will get. so we have to look at the website of the altcoins we have and know how much we will get after selling on the exchange. that way we can minimize errors in holding altcoins.

You must create your own percentage, if you want to get profit 40% from that coin then after you get 40% sold that immediately don't think you can gain more because this is crypto, also you must create cut loss percentage too. Whenever you hit your loss percentage then sell it to avoid more loss

Precisely, a lesson that should be learned about this market, fluctuations and volatility always been the issue with holding assets that have potentials and shit coins that just a pumped and dumped system, we have to be well aware so we won't regret things that we decide, there's no guarantee or assurance in any project that has been introduced, accepting and keep continuing to gain more success is what we need while we are still around this industry.

Yes,we have to be aware of the things that we decide before selling and buying. Buy at the right time and hold those valuable assets that you are certain. Some lessons are along on your way and you have to learn from others mistake too.

You are right a lot do the same mistake, In my opinion it's not good to hodl bounties and airdrops it's completely luck when the tokens are listed on the exchanges you need to sell them immediately to see a descent profit rather than waiting for a big amount.

If the project is really good, there is still no better strategy than hodling.If you really need Fiat money, you can sell at least 50% of your tokens as a last resort.I agree that there are projects with very tricky managers who, under the guise of listing on the stock exchange, simply destroy the price.But since in my portfolio there are tokens worthy of long-term storage, I have no doubts in the team or in the project and I will keep tokens until the price is at least equivalent to the price at the ICO stage.

If you know the trends 90% of the ICOs when listed on the exchange their token values goes down within a week about 30% to 90% from its ICO price. So its better to sale token initially & buyback later if you think project have potential & can give you profit on longer run. I also made that mistake and I regret it till now. I was looking at one of my bounty tokens turn $100+ but I just ignored thinking it could do more. Now, that same amount of token is not worth upto $10. What a great mistake. Take profit while you can guys.

What you pointed out is a good one, when you get tokens or you buy them, the best thing to do is to wait for profit, once you see profit,no matter how little, take it don't wait to make millions on a particular token.

My biggest mistake was getting greedy about my expectations in trading. Emotions are problem in trading journey so learning to control it will give better results than blindly trading.

A very honest opinion and I agree with this, we should really accept our mistakes use it as a tool to trade well next time. Emotion is a real problem, we always think about easy money and if failed in trading we feel so much depressed about it. Holding is good but learn to sell if its aready the right time.
