If Dhoni thinks that he is too old for the T20 format then Pant can be the successor for him if he is able to perform consistently, no one will force him out from the playing eleven as he is more than capable to win any match at a given time and his record in the IPL as a captain is unparalleled. Since the T20 world cup is coming up it is time for India to find the right combination.

Poor start by WI as they have lost quick 5 wickets on a score of just 33 runs in just 6 overs. They are known for playing the good cricket in T20 but this time it seems they are not in the form and Indian bowlers are bowling the right line and troubling the WI batsman.

I was away for half an hour so could not watch the early overs. Just turned on the tele and watching the match. I was following the score though. West Indies needs a partnership. The Indian team is pack with batsmen so even 180 runs is not safe too. But question is can WI score 180 or more?

It's quite hard to say with the performance he put in the WC. I am sure others also have noticed that and choosing him as a final wicketkeeper replacement for Dhoni is something that I really find it hard to happen when there is already another player who is better than him- Rahul.

India used to have weak bowling attack but in the recent years their bowling department is one of the best in the world.

I would say India will easily win this match. There are not many good bowlers to give hard time to the Indian batting line up.

I was surprised to see that India and West Indies are playing in Florida, does they play in order to promote cricket in USA, i think that is the only possible answer to play in a neutral ground and with the way things are playing out, the match is incredibly boring as West Indies is struggling to put runs on the board as they just scored 70 runs in 16 overs and lost 7 wickets and it is hard to imagine them scoring 100 runs with the way they are batting but Pollard could make a difference if he could connect the ball in the final overs.

Really disappointed from WI performance. Was waiting for watching a competitive match.
WI batsman aren't consitent, they need to improve a lot and will focus on test cricket more as well.

I was also waiting for a competitive match and expected better batting performance from WI. They had very good attacking batsmen who can go for big shots but it never happened. Their this T20 team performed like their ODI team LOL

As I said earlier, this will be an easy win for India and I was right when I said that WI will hardly manage 100 runs :-)

By the way, did anyone gambled in this match? I bet most of the people were betting for India.

Don't underestimate Indian batting line up as well. Sometimes Indian batsmen outperform every team when it comes to collapse but in this match Chances are India going to get thrashing victory  because target is small. So match looks dead to me. Unless someone from windies take 2 wickets in the same over.

Shikhar Dhawan has gone. It's early though. Would be interesting to see Manish Pandey performance although chance is he will not get chance to show.

Well they won't have much choice. Pant really needs to realize that there are a long queue waiting just to replace him. It's not very easy to be a part of Indian batting lineup. Too hard competition.

They can never forget how to play badly after their miserable loss against NZ and they want to continue their bad form. No Dhoni to save them only Jadeja left to blame. I'm losing hope as they need 15 runs from 36 balls. Will they get it? God only knows now.

But honestly speaking, I did not expect India to lose that many wickets to chase only 95 runs. Too bad.
