I agree with you.  For a team to win, all players need to play well.  For a team to win, everyone has to play well, both batting and bowling.  If everyone plays well then the match can be won very easily. Pakistan players couldn't do that. I think Pakistan team has very good players.  After that they could not win the match. If all the players of Pakistan had played well then they could have won the match.

So our expectations from them were more. But the Pakistani batsmen's performance was very poor in the last 2 matches against Sri Lanka. Pakistan was looking overconfident in the match and they were considering themselves a superior team to Srilanka. If you do not take your opponent seriously they can beat you on any given day and this is what happened in the finals. Even, in the match before the finals, Pakistan lost to Srilanka and did not learn any lessons from that match too.

Pakistan did not lose this match only because of batting failure. Pakistan also lost due to fielding failure also. Missed two catches at crucial time of the match and gave extra runs. If the two catches were not missed at that time, the result of the match could have been different.

Sri Lanka's target was too big? I cannot call the target of 171 runs a big target. Because against an experienced and strong bowling lineup like India, Pakistan was able to win despite batting at a target of 182 runs. Pakistan could have won the target of 171 runs if their batsmen had performed well.

Babar Azam has been out of form since the start of this tournament. So a good performance was not expected from him against Sri Lanka. But I expected better performance from Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz. If these two players could have played well then Pakistan could have become champions.
