Pak vs New Zealand Second T20I

That was an amazing win by Pakistan. We can see they didn't give a chance to New Zealand team  to go above 100 runs. And with aggressive bowling of Pakistan especially the two players Amir and Shaheen they bowled really well and just due to this Pakistan won this Match. Shaheen shah Afridi Collected 3 wickets and also awarded by the player of the match award which I think he deserved. Muhammad Amir was also good he collected 2 wickets. And we know that he is the best bowler for Pakistan. And I really appreciate the decision of PCB for getting in Muhammad Amir Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan certainly did well in the second T20 against New Zealand especially their bowlers bowled well. I was more surprised by Mohammad Amir's brilliant bowling spell After being out of international cricket for a long time, Mohammad Amir returned to the team and gave a great bowling performance. Abrar Ahmed, who made his debut for Pakistan in the second T20I, also played an important role with two wickets.  We initially thought the New Zealand team would be weak as the New Zealand team lacked good players but never thought that they would be bowled out by Pakistan for less than 100 runs.

There is another match between Pakistan and New Zealand today which is the third match of the T20I series between them. The New Zealand team will take the field with the young team today to fight against Pakistan in the third T20 match. New Zealand's current team is much less experienced than Pakistan's.

The Pakistan bowling lineup was absolutely fired up against the match with New Zealand. Mohammed Amir was going to be the best Pakistani bowler if Pakistan could actually take care of him. Even at this age, he is producing such good performance. I believe he is still going to be in the T20 format. And he will be very useful in the upcoming World Cup. Pakistan team is improving. But if they did this from at least two years ago, if they played with the same squad from two years, I believe they actually had a chance to win the World Cup. I am expecting a good performance from them in the World Cup but I still don’t think they will be able to win the World Cup.

Here is another argument.

Dhoni is 42 yo wicketkeeper batsman. Let's say he comes as early as 4-5 down, so most of the time after 12 or 14 overs and in case of some collapse then maybe in between 8-12 overs. That's a period where spinners operate and the field is spread, you have to rotate the strike and even try for doubles (don't forget he's old and WK). Also, he used to be good against spinner but not anymore, as far as hitting 6s is concerned.

No, what I was trying to say is that only giving the last four over for him is probably not enough. In the last four overs, there are only 24 balls and even if the strike rotation is really good, he is going to get around 12 to 15 balls at that period of time. I think he should at least get somewhere near 25 balls to play at least. It will be better if he comes in around the end of 13th or 14th over. so he will be able to watch some balls before he goes all boom boom.

In the last match, I am pretty sure that he only played eight balls. What if he actually got at least 15 balls in total to play? He could have actually got 40+ on his own and that also in a very quick time. I know he is not that good anymore against spin because he is currently concentrating on finishing the innings. He is not that good because he doesn't bother about it that much. But I just think giving him a little more time in the middle is a risk worth taking. But in the last match, there was no fall of wicket between the 11th and the 16th over if I am not wrong. So I guess they could not do that anyway.

If the RCB batsman Karn Sharma had not got out at the last moment then victory would have been possible, but unfortunately he got out, and the game went the other way. I'm glad for Sai Kishore, he got 4 wickets hopefully that'll make his place in squad permanent. Though, I feel that GT is doing too many squad changes, they better figure out right combination asap and stick with it.

Usman Khan who is playing his second T20I and gave away UAE contract is struggling so far in this series. He scored 7 runs in his first T20I and today he got out for just 4 runs. He badly need to score runs in upcoming two T20I otherwise he might not able to continue playing for Pakistan team.
178 is not a huge target and NZ have good opportunity to level this series.

First of all, I do not think anyone should actually miss his job or avoid his duties to watch just a match of IPL, which is probably not going to impact his life too much. So yes anyone can miss a match of IPL. It is not that big deal in my opinion. And actually think cricket is again where it is far better to actually watch the highlights instead of the actual whole match. because it takes a lot of time even if it is a T20 match.

Anyway, this match was definitely incredible & high scoring one in this season. At various moments I thought the match was not going to be this close in Eden Gardens. It was great and of course, credit to the RCB to actually fight till the end. And also credit to the KKR team not losing at certain moments, they just struggled to keep their wickets in hand, When they lost wickets one after another, Shreyas and Rinku rebuilt their mentality and hold the match. The sad thing is RCB had a genuine chance if Dinesh Kartik could have been there till the end.

A really good fortune for KKR otherwise they had no chance to win this match. Especially after Karn Sharma's dismissal, everyone seems to be in a good mood. Karn Sharma has enough batting  power. I believed that if Karn Sharma can stay till the end then the match will be won by RCB but that was not happen luck was in KKR's favor. There was a hope about Dinesh Karthik that he might turn the match into a win but it didn't happen. On the one hand, I am very upset with this match because RCB did not use the 17th and 18th overs. There the pressure on the batsmen increased massively and due to the pressure they lost the match by just 1 run. Although an attempt was made to convert the last run from a single to a double, it was not completed due to ‍slight difference.If the run was successfully taken , many of the calculations would have to be recalculate.

But, New Zealand second sting side chased 178 runs with the lost of 3 wickets and nearly 10 balls were remaining this is surely huge setback for the Pakistani side which was playing with their full force into this game while their batting is still concern for them because they are not able to perform as they needed to compete with top teams in coming world cup.

Mark Chapman done impressive batting in these conditions while he was facing few world's best white ball bowlers but still he was enjoying and hitting all around the ground which is showing how impressive he is and this could be good for him as we are heading for the T20I World Cup now hopefully we will have some good performance from the Pakistan in coming matches as they are looking for the recovery.

Pakistan batsmen set a target of 178 in 20 overs and it was a very good target.  But the New Zealand batsmen won the match by complete the innings in 18 overs.  Their batsmen worked hard and struggle in the match and showed interest in the match.  My congratulations to the New Zealand team for the win and may they continue to play like this and win matches.  Pakistan team should focus on their performance so that they can perform well in the next matches.
