Aphroditecoin introduced to boost economy and help Cypriots return to financial stability

LAUNCH: MARCH THE 12th at GMT 18.00 (GMT 6pm) (Cyprus time: 8pm)

Aphroditecoin is a cryptocurrency for Cyprus. Cyprus is a small island in the east Mediterranean Sea. In the beginning of 2013, their economy collapsed and the state came close to bankruptcy. The small country needed help from the European Government and the European Central Bank. Unfortunately the EU only wanted to help Cyprus when 10% of the Cypriot bank savings were dispossessed. That was in fact a deep impact on the economy and especially on the people in Cyprus. Due to the fact of having less money to spend, domestic economy collapsed even more, followed by redundancies. Nowadays Cyprus is not being the same as before. Cypriots suffer from the European Union punishment.

We were inspired by auroracoin, which is helping Iceland to get back on their feet. We hope that we can get the same success like auroracoin to help Cyprus, to maintain the living standard on the little island in the Mediterranean Sea and even to create higher levels of wealth. We think Cyprus is more in need than Iceland to get some help.
We decided to do a premine about 75% of Aphroditecoin to have the best control over the cryptopcurrency and its value. We also chose 75% of premine because we want to provide the Cypriots a stable currency to achieve the best level of help we can make. The premined coins will be distributed to the entire population of Cyprus, commencing on midnight 21st of April 2014. About 885,000 Cypriots will be made able to claim 25.4 Aphroditecoins each over the following year. After getting aphroditecoin the Cypriots shall pay with this cryptocurrency to prompt economy. The idea is that the economy will recover from its shock in spring 2013 and the Cypriots will get back their jobs and can come back to their normal lives.

We, the development team of aphroditecoin hope we can start a big story and can write history, to help this small island to get back on their feet. Truthfully spoken we cannot do all things by our own. We need you, the cryptocurrency community to push aphroditecoin to make history. So get this movement moving and we will reach something huge.

goodluck  Smiley . Where can we buy aphroditeCoin. Would your government even allow you to spread the coin? Why the need for this coin, I thought bitcoin was big in Cyprus.

How do you plan to distribute  coins to all cypriots, are all people in Cyprus computer literate and have access to internet.

nobody will seriously give free money away.... you will see with aurora nobody will be the WILLING bagholder.

You need bagholders of huge proportions to give 1000's or millions of people free money ... starting a coin llike this is like starting a fund raiser. Some people don't realise this but they will start to before they dump at 1 sat or less.

very true, instead it would be better to mine 100% and give the coins to cypriots in stages. With this present  structure, people will just mine and dump. True, price will rise initially due to limited supply but once the airdrop starts everyone will dump leading to another crash. This might hurt the people of cyprus more than benefit them.

sorry if I sound critical but if your intentions are to help your people you would know what I mean.

...True, price will rise initially due to limited supply ...

But that is exactly what we need. We want to provide the Cypriots a stable currency that is the reason for the premine to have neutral control over its value and try to get Aphroditecoin accepted in Cyprus as a new currency. We don't want to be the guinea pigs of the EU Government anymore.

Don't just airdrop this. Develop ecosystem first.  For example, give this to small businesses first for their capital and educate them how to accept this coin in their businesses. Slowly give to your people to prevent sudden dump.

From your website:
"A national ID database, created by the government will be used for this purpose. Although the thorough registration of the entire Cypriot nation into one database is unfortunate, it creates opportunities to reach a large part of the public through various means. "

Please can you show us, either on the gov.cy website, or elsewhere, where YOU can verify each individual's "taftotita" (ID card).

It's just that I have always believed that this is a Gov only database, not open-source.

First of all, we will disclose all premine accounts so that anybody can see anytime what will happen with these coins and that no coins will be dumped.

We have already spoken to the registration office and first impressions were that in case we can provide help with a stable currency they will collaborate with us. The registration office is very excited by our idea and would make possible that any Cypriot could get contact data from us at registration office to get their coins.

Anyhow, feedback was positive and in case of supporting Cyprus then the registration office would support us that every Cypriot can get their coins.
