This IPL season is turning out to be very good for the West Indian players (especially the batsmen). Gayle, Russel, Pollard and Narine have been in good form with the bat and in the bowling department Dwayne Bravo, Alzarri Joseph and Jofra Archer have been performing quite consistently. And the biggest joke is that Gayle almost went unsold during the 2018 auctions.

Gayle barely play a good innings, no consistent good performance. I think it's better to have consistent perfoemance than one outstanding. However, I too didn't like that Gayle was unsold.

Chasing 198 to win , MI have lost 3 wickets for a score of 76 runs. Still require 122 runs from 54 balls . Pollard could be the key who has not really being upto his form and today he could be the man to help MI win this match.

Update: MI won the match in last ball, what a brilliant match it was! Thanks to pollard for his outstanding knock. His 83 runs from just 31 balls helped MI to seal the match by 3 wickets.

I couldn't believe that MI would win the match. I had bet for them and regretted. When 4th wicket gone, I gave up and didn't watch for some next over thinking that KXIP will win but I forgot that Pollard is still there and it's possible to win.

I am glad I went for them . Perks of taking risks , if I lost I would lose a bit but now I won much more . I also had little hope they would win actually but well done Pollard , what a player.

Finally he proved it and I got it right the man who was suppose to make the MI win from that situation played the knock which could be one of his best as well to make his team win from almost lost situation and still proves he has cricketing left in him.

Absolutely! I have no expectation for MI at the midpoint, it looked game over. So far a historic win for the Mumbai Indians in a run chase. Enter Kieron Pollard, and produced one of his absolute best knocks. Total TEN sixes such a stunning batting. Pollard you're magnificence!!

IPL seems like the perfect battlefield for these West Indian batsmen. Pollard, Gayle, Russell, Narine etc are big names in the IPL and they can seriously destroy any team in T20 tournaments if they are in form.

Russel is outstanding this year. He saved KKR in 3 matches. WI players get always good performance in IPL. Luis, Smith, Bravo, Sammy everyone had a great time in IPL. In fact, to be honest, I can't imagine IPL without WI players because they are the players who keep excitement alive among us.

No shocking moment for me because we have seen some really unexpected results in this IPL season so far so everything can happen anytime in the match.
I liked when Pollard hit the ball and got caught in the boundary, a replay showed that Pollard was about to celebrate his team's win with that shot but then he noticed the catch and walked away disappointedly.

@Pffrt - We've got Chennai at 1.7 at the moment, but there's also the option to trade on back/lay lines if thats your thing.

Our margins are around 1% for the IPL so we should have some of the best odds around anyway  

I'm predicting a fairly easy win for CSK today, but there's some good value to be had in the specials markets:

- Joseph Buttler: Total Runs Over 25.5 (1.92)
- Team with highest score at 1st dismissal: Rajasthan Royals (1.89)
- Total sixes: Under 9.5 (2.00)

The match between RR and CSK is in progress. Once again Rahane went cheaply, nothing unusual here and Butler got out as well despite getting a good start. as of now, RR stands 48/2 in 4 overs. run rate is not a problem here. they have a very healthy run rate right now. let's see what Sanju and smith duo do here. would like to see Sanju till the end of the inning. we know this guy can play a good shot.

31 runs at the first dismissal, think that one might be lost as well unless the RR bowlers go hard early on.

Dhoni is 37 years old, right (38 in two months)? Being a keeper-batsman, I think he'll continue to play T20 cricket for another 4-5 years. And that is enough time for CSK to search and find new talent. 

Let's say 38 years and let's say he will play more 4 years meaning you are asking Dhoni to play cricket when he is 42!
Come on. I do not think he will go for this long journey.

Why not? Look at players like Chris Gayle and Harbhajan Singh. They are on top form, and can easily carry on for another 4 or 5 years. Nowadays the vitamin suppliants and performance enhancing drugs are slowing down ageing and I would say that some of the players aged above 38 are performing much better than the youngsters in this edition of the IPL.
