Two days passed, and it seems that hundreds of masternode owners have not realized their issues and re-config their masternodes. The chart shows the fact that total number of active eligible masternodes on DASH network remained stably around 4700 within the last three days, since the wash-out. In other aspect, on market, DASH fell considerably with more than 6 percent loss (to around 0.0178 BTC) last 24hrs by bitcoin effects. It is likely that we have been in early days of another altcoin massacre. However, HODLers don't worry about that, buy more and hodl, or simply hodl.

Here is some usefull information with regards to calculating number of banned masternodes & number of masternodes with a PoSe Penalty score on the Dash network :

Banned masternodes

Step 1 : calculate total registered masternodes : ./dash-cli protx list registered | wc -l
Step 2 : calculate number of valid (non-banned) masternodes : ./dash-cli protx list valid | wc -l

Step 3 : total registered masternodes - number of valid (non-banned) masternodes = number of banned masternodes

If you are using the Dash-Qt, you can get this info on the Masternodes tab. With the "Filter List" field empty you will see the full count and if you
enter "POSE" you will see the banned nodes. I do not think it is possible to see just a list of nodes with non-zero scores there though.

PoSe Penalty masternodes

Step 1 : ./dash-cli protx list registered true | grep -i 'PosePenalty": [1-9][0-9]*' | wc -l

Based on the history of DASH masternode-count chart, it usually takes around 5 to 7 days for masternode owners reconfig their nodes or fix whaterver issues to bring their nodes back. This time, it seems that DASH masternode owners have been too late to do mandatory update for their nodes (or fix other issues). Because from the that 7-day masternode-count chart, there are only around 30 nodes came back, during last 5 days

Maybe because the issue in most cases is hardware related (masternode running with too little RAM), it could take a bit longer for
those that were banned to come back to the network, as they may need extra time searching for good hardware deals for their masternode.
