From my opinion I think it will take many years for an altcoin to replace Bitcoin, it's popularity has been dominance and if a coin should replace Bitcoin looking at potential growth of BNB,  they stand a better chance that XRP

you are right, I think both the assets that look good for the long term. We don't need to compare them. ethereum and ripple has the market on their own, their community has been growing well. If you want to invest I think select both of these assets does not make problems.

I think ETH or XRP will replace BTC. but my prediction XRP will dominate the market more than ETH, I doubt to ETH after the vitalik left from ETH. on the other hand, XRP always develops its platform every time.

This is less likely to happen, even if it's possible it would takes a lot of times for XRP to reach the level of BTC, since the total supply of XRP is so much different compared to BTC, so to be able to get the price rise just like BTC that would be almost impossible task to be done.

I don't think that even ethereum or XRP will dominate the market or replace bitcoin. even though they have good development and the smart ethereum platform is often used for ico, it is also impossible to replace bitcoin especially XRP is absolutely impossible. They are not substitutes. Both of them are very different and have different financial graphs and uses and further depend on the users who acquire them. In terms of monetary benefits, I believe both of them are good enough with ETH leading and XRP after it.

ETH is widely accepted in some of the markets and companies around the world as well. XRP is a bit slow but can give you return so go for both.

Well bnb is still certainly far from ripple , but I also think if bnb will develop at the same pace as over the past year and a half he may take the second place in terms of capitalization , as a coin very much in advance !

ETH and XRP are two very different coins and their applications are different as well. ETH is obviously better choice but XRP is not bad either. XRP pumps up very fast and is great to make some money quick by selling into those pumps.

Hopefully I won't see the day when Ripple will displace Bitcoin. That would really be a bad day for cryptocurrencys and for the idea of Satoshi behind crypto. Ripple is anything but a free cryptocurrency and therefore I don't understand why so many people support it. Should an altcoin manage to displace Bitcoin, I hope it will be ETH or LTC, but not Ripple.

Hopefully I won't see the day when Ripple will displace Bitcoin. That would really be a bad day for cryptocurrencys and for the idea of Satoshi behind crypto. Ripple is anything but a free cryptocurrency and therefore I don't understand why so many people support it. Should an altcoin manage to displace Bitcoin, I hope it will be ETH or LTC, but not Ripple. 

You wont have to, ripple will never displace bitcoin as the most widely used cryptocurrency around the world, however in the unlikely case it happened I will seriously think about giving up and getting out of the market because it is obvious that if banks gain control of it then it will not be any different than fiat and in fact the potential to be even worse is there since governments and banks will know everything you are doing with your money and they could always change the code to allow them to steal your funds if they wanted.
