ETH and xrp are potential coin. Both coin is also popular and good for investment an ethos is really profitable because many people really earn on it. But if I had to choose on both coin o will still choose ethereum for good because ethereum is amazing and it is always next to bitcoin in terms of popularity.

Obviously i like ETH because it has ICO platform and it is most popular coin after BTC but XRP is banker coin and my opinion xrp won't profitable than ETH.

I don't think it can replace Bitcoin, especially XRP, ethereum alone which ranks second on the market so far cannot be above Bitcoin. chances are XPP will continue and only compete with Ethereum. and it won't be possible to be above Bitcoin.

If btc is the king, then the one can replace was a price or known as ethereum. Many transaction by project with an eth base like ico sales, most of them accept eth as oayment and bot xrp. My point is eth is one currency next to btc by purpose and development.

Xrp is better to buy and hold because its community is more durable and has more hold than the ethereum xrp because it is acceptable in other countries where xrp is a partnership of banks in other countries but it is only select when bitcoin breaks xrp does not really affect the market because fewer sells and more holds do not hold other xrp holds because they know that xrp is in the future so it does not fall into the ethereum but its ethereum is good but its price has fallen fast and the dumpers are so large that it is safe for xrp hold rather than the ethereum because it is too much on the ethereum so the losers in the ethereum are losing the ethereum

Neither XRP nor Eth can replace Bitcoin. The highest they can get to is have a nice run in price just like they did in the early 2018. XRP getting to $1,000 is a big joke of the century. BTW, according to the coinmarketcap site (CMC) the Bitcoin in circulation is already passed 17million.

I don't think bitcoin can be replaceable. ethereum and  xrp very nice in the market, they have strong support. They certainly will build their own market, because they have a different appeal.

Hopefully I won't see the day when Ripple will displace Bitcoin. That would really be a bad day for cryptocurrencys and for the idea of Satoshi behind crypto. Ripple is anything but a free cryptocurrency and therefore I don't understand why so many people support it. Should an altcoin manage to displace Bitcoin, I hope it will be ETH or LTC, but not Ripple. 

You wont have to, ripple will never displace bitcoin as the most widely used cryptocurrency around the world, however in the unlikely case it happened I will seriously think about giving up and getting out of the market because it is obvious that if banks gain control of it then it will not be any different than fiat and in fact the potential to be even worse is there since governments and banks will know everything you are doing with your money and they could always change the code to allow them to steal your funds if they wanted.

I hope you're right, and that day will never come. If it should come to that, I would probably give up too and not continue with cryptocurrencys. Ripple is and remains a bank coin and therefore I would not support such a coin. I hope the people wake up sometime and realize that Ripple does not stand for cryptocurrencys but for exactly the opposite. Just because the people can earn fiat money with Ripple, many people think Ripple is good without knowing more about it.

Both of these coins have great potential, except that I prefer XRP compared to ETH. Because the XRP fee is still relatively cheap. And the development of market XRP prices is better than ETH

i think until now ETH is keep be the best for me.
you know how much ETH famous and popular that mean ETH is the best coin after BTC.
and ETH always make me get a profit if i hold it.

Sometimes i can’t believe some people are still talking about this weird replacement thing It feels like a joke, in my eyes there is no chance xrp to replace bitcoin. Plus, xrp is not more reliable than btc.

When you understand that their motivations are mostly economic then you can easily understand why they want this, many are mad that they did not bought bitcoin when it was created and they imagine the huge profits they could have gotten if they did, so they want other projects to surpass bitcoin so they can get those profits for themselves but the first mover advantage of bitcoin is so great that unless a critical bug is found in bitcoin then it is unlikely that will happen.

I've been seeing a lot of people that are involved in XRP are starting to find a liking towards Elixxir which is soon to be in betanet I believe. It'll be intersting to see how the two play out though

I will definitely take ETH. It is more potential than XRP. People have trust on it and it is mosty used by ICO. So the demand of ETH will increase day by day.

That's what you believe, but not everyone are trusting ETH over XRP.
If you analyze its price history, we can tell that XRP is more profitable and in bear times, it did not drop harder than ETH.
I can only say more people are trusting ETH if it's more profitable than ETH and we also don't know the exact figure, so are not sure with that.

Maybe this is only based on our opinion and everyone is entitled to have their opinion, and one way to measure it is by having a voting poll.

When i see the title before open the thread i thought is only a question about what to choose, but after i read i see more and to answer, no never bitcoin will be replaced by ETH or XRP. And i if should choose which coin to get, invest i will choose ETH.

For me, if the price now of ripple as exactly as ethereum coin, then i would definitely choose ripple xrp. But if not, its good to be on ethereum since it has a good potential value and also has the second most volume in the market just next to bitcoin.

XRP is still very far away if it will replace BTC and may be difficult to occur. But XRP is a coin that is very potential and able to compete with ETH. XRP has become the number two coin after passing ETH. And I'm sure if in a few months XRP can pump.
