First, XRP is not even a cryptocurrency, it's just a centralized premined token that has nothing to do with the main purpose of crypto: decentralization.
ETH has proven its value overtime, it has a real utility as most of ICOs are still based on erc20 platform.

I think ethereum is still the best altinative to bitcoin and since it is large enough to accommodate tokens and remain number two longer than any other cryptocurrencies i believe it is going to be the best coins after all bitcoin is mine.

I've been seeing a lot of people that are involved in XRP are starting to find a liking towards Elixxir which is soon to be in betanet I believe. It'll be intersting to see how the two play out though thoughts? https://elixxir.io/AFAIK, CEO of ripple puts 3 millions dollars to the elixxir. XRP supporters will be interesting to see that too. If that will release betanet and i no ico will be running in the future. Im still waiting for the further news about elixxir ico and that will an interesting thing to be watched |

yeah, i also think the same thing as you. the ethereum position will remain there, not replaced by other altcoins or change the position of bitcoin. until now ethereum is the best altcoin. unlike XRP, i don't mean to drop XRP. but i prefer ethereum than XRP. |

yeah, i also think the same thing as you. the ethereum position will remain there, not replaced by other altcoins or change the position of bitcoin. until now ethereum is the best altcoin. unlike XRP, i don't mean to drop XRP. but i prefer ethereum than XRP. right I agree with you ETH will not depend on XRP maybe if the XRP for the price will remain slightly below ETH, because for now ETH stays above XRP, but if XRP can be above ETH hopefully it will provide many benefits for other coin coins too |

I also thought the same thing. ETH always gets better, even though XRP also has such strong potential. even now I only hold ETH, and bitcoin, because I believe that the potential of the coin is so great for now, and for the future. |

True, the fact that developers of ripple say that is a cryptocurrency doesn't make it true, because as we know that is a coin that is centralized and that has very strong ties with banks, in fact ripple is similar to the coin released by the Venezuelan government with the difference that ripple is successful but that should not blind us to the truth, so between those coins it is very easy to select ethereum over ripple even if ethereum also has its fair share of problems. |

I think the same, maybe XRP can stabilize prices because XRP has good prospects. if ethereum I'm not sure it can be the best altcoin solution because, ethereum is used by people to participate in ICO sales. and because at this time many ICO frauds have made ethereum prices down because of ICO fraud developers

I don't think ETH and XRP can replace BTC.BTC's position as the beginning of existing currencies and all currencies still depend on the price of BTC. We can see that ethereum is second to bitcoin and if the price of bitcoin increases, ethereum prices will also rise. |

I don't think that XRP can defeat Ethereum or defeat Bitcoin, and XRP can only compete with Ethereum and both will not be able to replace the position of market king, namely Bitcoin.
indeed XRP has good potential but not as popular as Ethereun which is always used on ICO projects as payment, so I'm not sure XRP can beat Ethereum's position as second place after bitcoin.

ETH line of business is different from line of business of XRP, the first coins are used as payment for smart contract transaction such as erc20 coins where it serve as s gas fee everytime you transfer any of your erc20 coins while XRP served as payment for cross border money transfer. And for me both alt coins has the potential to exist by their own respective line of business with out competing each other.

They both are very different form each other and there is no reason to make difference. Ethereum is a contract based platform. It is the most used and popular platform in this crypto ecosystem. In other hand xrp is a banking and money transfer related token. So ethereum and xrp is very different in basic mechanism. But they are competitor in one place that is market cap. Sometime when market is fully bear than xrp crossed ethereum and take the 2nd place. But now again after hard fork of ethereum recover its price and back to its place.
