I played about with Bitcoins and litecoins and Feathercoins back in 2013. By this time I had changed my computer and hard drives and along with it all my passwords and wallets and dat files,  to cut a long story short I searched all over for my old hardrives, ran recovery on one of the drives I had kept and found nothing I gave up searching and just got used to the fact that I had lost a lot of money.

Fast foward to 2019 we were cleaning out a cuboard and at the very back was a shoe box and in that shoebox were 3 hardrives one of which contained all my passwords, wallets and dat files for all my Bitcoins, Litecoin and Feathercoins. I may have lost out on when Bitcoin was at its best but I now have all the info I need. I have sold some of it and will hold the rest until Bitcoin goes up again and it will. The money I got from selling some of the bitcoin and litecoin even though not at its highest I basically got for doing nothing apart from online pool mining  and playing with faucets  back in 2013,  so im happy with it. Never give up if you have lost money on Cryptos and if you did what I did keep,  looking for that lost hardrive it will turn up eventully.  In 2019 it is so easy to buy and sell Bitcoions too and it was instant money from selling to transfering the moeny into paypal then into my bank account.  How things have changed for the better for cryotocoins

 

Very interesting story. Having backup is very important and the hard drives are not a safe place to hold crypto holdings in my opinion. Cryptocurrencies are under attack by hackers and we need to store it in a safe place.

That was a great story for us and congratulations to you to found the lost hard drives. Never give up is very important things that we should do in many aspects and not just in crypto. But I realize that it was not easy for us to accept the reality if we lose the information about the wallet, private keys. But gladly, you can found all of them so you can come back to the crypt again.

So, here is a suggestion to you, you can use the bitcoin, litecoin, feathercoin to trade to increase the balance of each coin or you can hold for more until you see the good price to sell. I am sure that you will not miss the chance to sell all of the coins you have at the highest price.

Yep, Congratulation!! I believe that his story may inpire many people, especially for those who have been faced loss in crypto market. To say frankly the topic "Never Give Up" is not a very strange topic in our forum. But it's great when we can share our story with one another, which serves a motivation in this field. Actually, in his story, i think that he had got some fortunate  , it was like he had the fate with crypto  . Anyway, hopefully how the tough you have to face in this market, you'd better to make your best effort, you will reach fruits.

Its really awesome story i hope its truth . Unfortunately i was not knowing about bitcoin in 2013 even i dint know about mining and faucets until 2017 .The difference between you and me is i started bitcoin and crypto earning from 2017 whatever i earned in this all the possible ways were much bigger than my salary .So nobody knows luck when favour us . Keep working things will come to place for sure.

I think I love this story which is not as unfortuante as we have heard similar situations where the hard drives could not anymore be found. I am happy that you eventually recovered what you had lost and though the price of Bitcoin is not the same as it was in 2017 still that is quite a big blessing and you have some to play with if you want to. This is better than those who decided to sell their Bitcoin when it hit $15 thinking that it was already big and afraid that one day it might fall back to just cents. The lesson here is that we should never give up and just pray that eventually things will be working out fine for all of us.

I agree with this, actually in my own experience I have been scammed for my first six months in encountering bounties and project in Bitcoin, but the success that was experienced by the people ho work hard here make me want to continue the journey that I am doing, I am very eager, dedicated in pursuing Bitcoin, to sustain myself and to help my family. Luck doesn't come in front of us, we have to chase and pursue it, and that is what I realized in this community you must be tough and eager to pursue whatever you want to gain here, cause weak people seldom make history just like in gaming, if you will always be emotional in every loss that you will encounter you will be down, but instead creat varieties of strategies for you not to have multiple losses,and that's what I usually do whenever I play into an bitcoin casino which is Vegas casino playing variety of games that I love with proper moderation as well as enjoying their great deal of welcoming reward just for doing my deposit into it. There is always an opportunity to get your funds back.
You just need to strive and be dedicated to your goal and you will totally recover your losses.
I haven't gotten too much for faucets but back in 2013 I think it was a good way of making money if you hold them in long term.

we didnt give up, i've entered the market just after the bull end lol.i lost almost all money which is not a big amount and it was a great experience to me but im still here.at least until another bull.

In my early days in cryptocurrency, i bought some coins for hold late 2017 hope to find good profits at the end but the revers was the case. At a time was discourage but have to encourage myself to have hope till early 2018 when the market move surprisingly then i sell with good profit. In crypto-world, don't be discourage.

In the first place I have to say congratulations on your lost and found lost bitcoin. As for me it has been a great lesson I have learnt when it comes to holding coins or token and it lost value or losing a key to my wallet. It is part of the lesson and experience one have to gather in life and there is no regret in any of these experience forward I have moved not thinking about the past any longer.

People who dump during the bear will have to learn the hard way, if they could have waited for this moment, they might be able to sell with profit.
But, it's never late to ride with the market again, seems like this time around we are moving to a bull market and this is going to be an exciting year going to bitcoin halving.

I think it is hard to fight feelings, some people easily get scared when the whole market is in bloodbath mode and they dump all their hodlings to be able to cut their losses on their investments and can't blame them with that. I also hope that this year will be good for the whole crypto industry because the bear market is been here for over a year and this time the bull is going to emerge from its sleep.

If only I have the same story ,I also used to earn from faucet and any paying apps back when I was a newbie.
I wish I have saved some of my early crypto earnings.
But it is never too late we could also do the same thing right now,
I mean the market would grow and one day we could also share the same story about never giving up .

The market price has always its sideways, today may be down but surely it will rise up again in time. thats some good story congrats that you still recover it
today mining is not for individual anymore and there are no faucet either
so it becoming hard to earn some bitcoin nowadays
but i still never give hoping will earn something today that will be valuable in the future like in your story

Congrats on the big hit, man. I left most of the hard drives when I moved out of London, so that's a few thousand bitcoins down the drain. Oh well; no use crying over spilt milk. Onward and upward!
