Well, I don't think you are in loss yet until you decide to sell off your position. On the other way round, if you are in lose you are in lose and trying to recover from your losses may end up increase your losses because your state of mind will not be settle at any time you will make an open position which may lead you to make a wrong decision and lose more.

I think it depends on the tokens you hold now. If the tokens have been hyped to the extent and you still don't find it lucrative, then please leave it. Go in for  great coins to hold for profits.

one option is to do a research which coins still doesn't pumped this spring and bet on it, but do not buy some shitcoin. It should be a project with good idea, active development and great team.

The way to recover my lost altcoins is a very important step to me which requires urgent attention. In a situation whereby there is an ongoing token sales that will guarantee the quick recovery of my losses, all I need to do is to sell of the remainder of my coins either in the form of btc or eth. There is no point for me using fiat money for that purpose. I will try and take the risk to sell off all my remainder coins and use the profit for investment into that ongoing token sale for a greater and better profit. One must learn to take risks if the person will actually end a successful person. I will proceed to sell off my remainder tokens to recover the initial loss I have experienced.

I personally have made the decision to opt for the second option, because I do not have enough capital to continue betting on new ICOs that, like the previous ones, offer no guarantee of profitability. What I have done is already done so for me losses cannot be recovered but I am hoping to have a great luck next time with my future investments. If I have failed in my previous investments plan B will follow and that is the time for me to make sure not to loss again. For now, I actually have token holdings and still hoping it will be performing good at this time. Time will come all this losses will become luck.

You aren't at a loss unless you choose to sell. If you're still holding those coins you might as well continue to hold. It's too bad you bought in on an ICO in the first place which is just a big old money grab. Don't invest more than you can afford to lose and don't look at crypto in terms of monetary value -- look at it in terms of the number of coins/satoshi/whatever that you hold and don't think money signs when you see it.

I have a little hesitant when intend to invest in ICO even less choose investing in an ICO to recover my lose. There is no guarantee that an ICO will be successful and listed in some exchanges, I have to wait a long time to see the ICO project will have a price whilst at this time ICO project has bad reputation. It will be good when I choose trading with a note I have knowledge to do it but if not I will stay to keep my investment until the price recover like at this time. Sometimes we should have a more patience to invest in cryptocurrency, because as you may know when the price recover you only need a several days to get your money back.

This is minimizing your loses and finding undervalued coins where you can invest.
The saying is correct, you loss some you win some, that's normal in investing, but make sure you have more win than your loses.
