It was very interesting to read all the posts made in this thread. My opinion is that, either you can claim the moral high ground and lie that you are here primarily for making Bitcoin more popular. Or like me, you can tell the truth and admit that along with the popularization of Bitcoin, you are also looking for profiting out if it. Anyway, we deserve the rewards for our hard work, right?

Actually,  I would say price and products works together. When you have a good product, price rises and when you invest on a good product, you need to make some profits so definitely you will want to see a better price to enjoy your profit.

Absolutely. Price really matters when it comes to investments. Yes we all love the technology but that's really the reason why we're going to invest in the first place. The main goal of an investment is to gain profit and I think as crypto currency making noises all over the world, I think it's not bad to ride the hype and earn money from it. You are very right about this, most people are just concerned about the present price of an altcoins without considering the features and the progress of the project. Some altcoins prices are just low presently because of the market conditions and will increasing drastically when the bull run comes, they are sleeping dragons that will soon the awaken. Though the price also matters too (whether it is still cheap or not) but it should not be the major factor to consider, product and technology should be over price because they are the factors that will command demand and increase the price.

Investment is indeed for profit, but all crypto is created not for investment tools. Investment is only in the minds of those who hold it. And price is not everything but everything needs prices, when prices go up means better technology is adopted.
