The game was dominated in the second half, then they broke Chiesa and the game was equilibrated again.

Donnarumma saver 3 penalties and gg. We are winners.

Technically speaking IT'S COMING HOME, Italy won it before!

From half time Italy were on top, England reverted to defense and Italy pressed and pressed.

Its tough for England to lose on penalties, maybe the last two substitutions were on too late.

Penalties are tough, players you expect to score, miss and vice-a-versa.

Anyway well done Italy.

The last two subs were for the purpose of those two guys to take the penalty.  They weren’t properly warmed up and they haven’t really been ‘acclimated’ to the match.  It would’ve been way better to let Sterling or Shaw take them.  Guys who were actually on the pitch for a good 30 minutes.

What a game it was! I absolutely enjoyed it. Italy managed to find the equalizer in the second half and 90 minutes ended 1-1. After not seeing any goal in the extra time, it was time to go directly to the penalty shoot-outs. Before the game, I really wanted to see this and I got what I wanted. Both goalkeepers were really good in the penalty shoot-outs. Saka had the biggest responsibility to keep his team's hopes alive but he failed. And Italy were the winner in the Euro tournament after many many years.

I'm really sad for England as they were so close to win a title but couldn't make it. I congratulate both of these teams for putting a great effort into the game. Honestly, I think that England deserved to win the title in terms of performance in general.

It was an outstanding performance from the italian side after the early goal by england italy managed to take control of the game they created so many chances and they dominated the game until the end i think the english coach made a mistake selecting players for the shootout sancho and rashford had just entered the game and mentaly they were not ready for them and saka was too young and under a lot of pressure and that was a mistake.

I feel for Saka...  And why did Southgate let Sancho and Rashford take those pens and not players with more experience like Sterling or Grealish?  And Sancho and Rash came on at the last minutes of the match...  They haven’t really warmed up.  Dumb decision.

The facts that both of them are from manchester United are pretty embarassing though lol, well atleast Harry Maguire scored lol. Anyway Donnarumma was great though and is totally a beast in penalty shootout, this guy stopped Morata's penalty as well as Saka's and Jordan Sancho's. He is the freaking hero for the team and he is still 22 years old with freaking solid top notch performances for the entire Euro

It was a nerve wrecking penalty shootout and I gotta say both team gave their best. England was lucky with an early goal from Luke Shaw and I honestly thought they are going to hold and win with that early goal but it was great that we get to see this final match goes to Penalty.


So despite getting knocked out early by Belgium, Ronaldo managed to hold the top scorer record for Euro. I thought Harry Kane might have a solid chance considering that England managed to get to the Final.

Anything can happen in the game of football,we use to say.Today was one,because I never imagined Italy could win that tournament,luck was on their side,and they played well as well.England can't be blamed for the loss,because in the game of soccer one team must loose,and tonight,England was the team that lost.They all tried their best,but Italy emerged victorious.

I was supporting Italy for this one didn't want it to go home but these two Sancho and Rashford  make Manchester United look like the villains at the euros....why the hell didn't Southgate go for Grealish to be among the top 5 to take penalties??? Am sorry you can't explain this one to anyone and they understand ..... for Sancho the lad hardly got game time and you choose to play him for the spot kicks, wrong call!

Oh! The person who made this meme or should I say graphic design is really blessed, to have put Chiesa in front, the designer has really got a proper view of the team as to those that made very good and impressive impact. Mehn, that guy is damned good. His the sort of striker that doesn't go back, even when the opportunity seems not to be available due to a tight defense line, he advances to break the defense line and create something unexpected. I enjoyed his style of play so much and was in dismay for him to have been substituted.

A big congratulations to the Italian team anyway, they did all that supported them proud to have won the trophy and sent England packing. So much for Marcus Rashford, to have been brought in the game solely because of the penalty shootout and yet, he ended up to have started the missing. So much for having over rated players.

What a win by Italy. Southgate made a few mistakes with not adding his subs a lot more earlier in the game plus making youngsters take the penalties was an even bigger mistake for him. Italy won second time on penalties after missing the penalty and losing in it. Donnaruma’s saves were on another level on this tournament in the penalty series

What a drama! First time since 1968, Italy has won the Henri Delaunay Cup

Surely, Italy deserves to win. From the stats, it was clear that Italy did a better performance. They made 19 shots, 6 on target. While England only made 6 shots, 2 on target. Then, when it came to the penalty shootout, I have predicted that Italy should win it because they have players with better experience in an international competition. While England, most of them are still too young, they probably have a problem controlling mentality in the penalty shootout.

This was the second time in history that the Italian national football team had won the title. Italy took over the field following the equalizer, but the results remained the same. The moment I saw that move from Southgate, I knew what he had in mind and it was a bad idea. There's a reason why they didn't feature in regular time and since he didn't trust them enable to give them the first team shirt or bring them up as substitutes in the second half then if was totally uncalled for to bring them on just to take penalties. It was a bad move and he would have to deal with it. Sancho couldn't even save the face of his friend by scoring only to put it in the capable hands of Donnarumma. I was expecting England to win but that move from Southgate was really lame. Didn't expect such from him!

Yes Gianluigi Donnarumma is just amazing he has never lost one single penalty shoot-out sequence in all his career and he has been awarded player of the tournament Euro 2021 which is very rare for a goalkeeper. I'm looking forward to see him playing with Paris Saint-Germain next season.

My big congratulations to the Italian national team on winning EURO 2020! Italy deserved this victory with their level of play and dedication, but I still preferred that the victories in such important tournaments were won in the main or, at least, extra time, rather than in a penalty shootout, which spoils the impression a little. Because the winner of the penalty shootout gets all the glory and honor, and the losers remain on the sidelines, despite the fact that they very often were almost as good as the winners. England could not finally win their first European Championship, but still made a big step forward, finally getting to the final of the tournament. Mancini has done an excellent job in his post by making a champion of a team that recently experienced a crisis and could not qualify for the World Cup. Also, the fusion of youth and experience of the Italian team, which did not give up, conceding a goal at the very beginning and equalized the score, and then won, deserves wonderful words.

There was a time when England gave hard pressure to Italy especially when the match was going to end but I cant say that Italy is defensive. Congrats to Italy, I'm a little bit tense when Luke shaw creates a fast goal in minute 2. I think England will create many goal, but luckily Italy doesn't make it happen. everything has fine when Bonucci equals the score in 67'. when the penalty happens, I pretty sure Italy will be champion when Rushford failed his shoot and Bernardeschi successfully creates a goal.

Statistics from UEFA present that Italy dominated the match with 61% ball possession, and they have more total shots, more shots on target.
England has only 5 shots, 1 shot only target that is the goal for Luke Shaw.

I am sorry but England tried their best with their boring tactics from Southgate to appear in the final match. Italy deserve the Championship in this Euro.

Couldn't watch the live match, because I am living in India. But just woke up and saw the scores and I was really surprised. I didn't gave much of a chance to Italy, because I thought that England had a huge home advantage in Wembley. Anyway, I am happy with the results. The English fans were disgusting in their behavior during the matches against Germany and Denmark. And I am glad that Italy put them to their place by winning against them at their home ground. My only regret is that I could just watch the highlights instead of the live match.

If you look at the UEFA statistics, England have a bad match and Wembley does not help them anything. They have good players but they don't want to play real football. 5 shots in a match at their home stadium and only one shot is on target.

Ball possession belongs to Italy and Italy also have good opportunity to score goal in the second extra-half.

In penalties, England have two chances but they waste all. Italy deserve to be the Champions.
