France is out of the tournament and the blame game has started. There is a big spat ongoing between Veronique Rabiot (mother of Adrien Rabiot) and Wilfried Mbappe (Kylian Mbappe's father). According to Veronique, Mbappe was too selfish and not passing the ball to the other players. Wilfried went ballistic over the comments and hit back saying that it was Rabiot who behaved selfishly. A few days back, Veronique Rabiot had another well publicized spat with the brothers of Paul Pogba (after a mistake from Pogba made it possible for Switzerland to score the 3rd goal).

I absolutely hate reading this news the most. I thought millennials are the problem and then also Gen A with these footballers but it seems their Generational X parents are equally trashy. Why on earth would parents need to get so quarrely against each other? Rabiot and Mbappe need to tell their parents to get behind each other geez.

Now my favorite goes to Belgium I'm sure these young players can make it to the final.

Spain, Belgium, Italy, England are 4 team that deserve to be called favorite in the quarter-finals. Hahaha, what a compliment! "Group of Death". Many people predicted that either team from this group would be the Euro champions this time. Unfortunately, none of the teams in this group qualified for the semi-finals. "Group of Death" turned into a dead group...  
Most people are now blaming Hungary for this reason, Hungary played very hard in their group so the other teams became powerless.

I personally think Spain is not too strong and not too good and Switzerland could surprise again by eliminating the two big and favorite teams, that's possible I guess.
Regarding Belgium - Italy, I personally believe Italy have a better chance of winning, considering De Bruyne and Eden Hazard who are unlikely to play due to injury. That way, at least Belgium will rely on Lukaku in attack and I don't believe Belgium can win in such conditions against Italy.
But what's more interesting is the Czech - Denmark match, these two teams have equal surprises and chances to win and I really can't predict which one will win. But even so, I have to choose the winner and I prefer the Czechs.
For England, of course England will be the favourite. But here England will play in Rome which I think might be different, because in previous matches England played at home and it would be different when playing at a more neutral venue.

I don't agree that the France team has been the strongest so far.
A Czech Republic or even Denmark (apart from the first game, which was very unhappy), has been showing better performances than France.

France nowadays are similar to Netherlands in the past. They have internal conflict before the tournament and look at Netherlands, they used to don't have good result in most of big tournaments.

All teams in which there are internal conflicts, or conflicts among the players, or conflicts with the coach no longer participate in the tournament, this is both Germany and France and Holland. I have not seen big conflicts in France, but now I see France's problem in the fact that they have very strong players and everyone wants to show themselves as an individual, forgetting that football is a team sport. Everyone wants to decide the outcome of the fight himself, and this is already a defeat.

It's a pity that France was eliminated from the tournament, they were my favorites. But I am glad that Ukraine continues to fight in the tournament, I hope they will show a decent game with England.

The Swiss have never been great runners.  They have enough perseverance and willpower, but physically they are not trained enough.  This is a very good football team.  Not good enough to win the semi-finals, however. 

I agree with you.  Italy has a 90 percent chance of winning against Belgium's soccer team.  Belgium doesn't have good enough footballers right now. 

The Czechs are really better than the Danes.  I expect the Czech football team to win. 

England looks like the favorite right now.  However, the Ukrainian football team knows how to surprise.  I think we are in for a sensation.

Your predictions are exactly the same with mine.    The hardest draw to predict is Belgium - Italy, I think. Belgium did a great job against Portugal. But I can't say that they were too good. I guess they will make a bigger effort in this to move Italy out of their way. Italy had a hard time against Austria but they managed to finish them in the extra time. This draw is going to be really interesting.

It will be a very big loss, because this is no longer a group tournament and there is no right to make mistakes, and therefore you need to have all the strongest players of the main team at this point in time. De Bruyne has been unlucky lately to get injured at the most inopportune moment, like in the UEFA Champions League, for example, and now this has happened again. In modern football, a lot can depend on the presence of a creative player in the squad who can decide the outcome of the meeting, and we all remember very well how de Bruyne's exit in the match with Denmark turned the course of an unsuccessful game in favor of the Belgian national team. Exactly the same can be said about Eden Hazard, despite all his problems with injuries and playing at Real Madrid.

I still remember that E Hazard and KDB both turned the game on the head when they were trailing to Denmark 0-1. Even with not fully fit physicals and only a quarter match played, they could change the direction of the game,,, if they do not show up then Belgium have to NOT trail.

I feel like their coach will take this risk. Rest them both 100% and try to progress to Semis first before using them.

Ukraine vs England is going to be interesting, but England played so well that they are my clear favourite. There are not so. Many games left before the finals andi still need to make the money back I lost with France. What do you guys think about winning Euro 2020? In my opinion either England or Italy. Can't stop laughing when someone said this too hehehe. That's just mean and quite disrespectful to the teams since they gave it all but it's the bitter truth.

Belgium has not really convinced so far. I wouldn't see them as the current favorite, but rather Italy or Spain. Belgium is too dependent on De Bruyne, and when he's missing, their forward play is very poor. You saw that in the last game when De Bruyne had to be substituted at half time due to injury. After that, Belgium was hardly able to start a reasonable attack and, in my opinion, undeservedly made it to the quarterfinals.

England is an easier pick since they're in a much "weaker" draw compared to Italy who has to face a tougher competitions. Belgium in the quarter-finals and most likely Spain in the semi-finals. If you just pick Italy without looking at the draw then that's on you. Bet on the Italians if you're that confident.

Tough tie between Italy and Belgium but they'll sure scale through this one again.
England with intelligent and brilliant forwards, I don't think Ukraine can withstand the force coming upfront.

It's soccer, anything is possible! Definitely, we have interesting quarterfinals... on paper Spain, Italy, Denmark, and England are favorites, but for sure non of them will have an easy pass to the semifinals! After all, the Czech guys eliminated Netherland with 2 : 0, Switzerland managed to survive the game and win France after penalties... I guess we can say Ukraine is a little surprise as well with a win against Sweeden!
Tomorrow we have two games, Switzerland vs Spain and Belgium vs Italy. With looking at some stats, the first game is good for both teams to score and/or over 2.5 goals. But for the second game, I still don't have any clues for now...

Yes i too think they can get to the final as we v'e seen in italy last game they did not performed well like in the stage groups especialy in the second half they could v'e lost that game on the other hand belgium team showed some defensive quality against portugal so my bet is on them to get past italy.
