The New Bytecoin Software Release!

Version 2.1.0 for BytecoinD & WalletD and  Version 1.1.9.1 for Bytecoin Wallet!

https://github.com/amjuarez/bytecoin/blob/master/ReleaseNotes.txt

https://bytecoin.org/downloads/

Last BCN update is lame.
Daemon can't synt for 3 days.

AVOID and stay @ previous ver.

Very good news that Poloniex has solved issues with deposit and withdrawn! Meaning the new version should be working fine and passed audit.
However, I had problems in synchronising the blockchain with the previous version as well. Wallet does not start anymore.
What shall I do? I just don't want to remove the downloaded blockchain as it will take forever to do it again. Please advise.

It's not necessary to make a synch from the scratch. You can download the latest blockchain, setup it using readme file and launch your wallet. It won't take more than several hours to make a full synch using that method. Kindly follow the link to download it:
https://bytecoin.org/downloads/

no seeds, no peers.
previous version had no issues.

Hi eeX,

Initial sync can be tricky. There are two alternative that worked for me.

1) Download the block chain using Mega, Drive or url download. The links are here
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/08/04/new-method-for-downloading-block-chain/

2) Connect to a remote node. This will allow you to only get the headers and get your wallet working really fast. Setting up your own node is most secure option, but you should be fine using a remote node. You can find some instructions for the remote node here:
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/07/30/run-the-bytecoin-wallet-as-light-client/

Seems like people are not exited by road map, because no serious buying is coming, or may be wrong timing to release as money is leaving market.
Also, will you be able to launch untraceable token before Zcash and ETH do? Because they are also working on untraceable tokens

I'm very interested in the topic of the token and I have a lot of questions, tell me more about how the token will be born, the price, who will receive it first, what will be with the bytes, what will be the initial byte exchange for token and other minor questions

Yo Nexus look 3 posts up ya lazy guy...   Roll Eyes

Good afternoon friend! If I had understood the situation I would not be asking again. Please avoid mentioning things in things that you are not called. Education fits everywhere and everywhere. And before cursing someone or calling you whatever . Make sure you are speaking the right thing. Closed mouth does not go fly.

I was able to perform the procedure. Thank you dev ,.

head up ! With honesty

Hi eeX,

Initial sync can be tricky. There are two alternative that worked for me.

1) Download the block chain using Mega, Drive or url download. The links are here
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/08/04/new-method-for-downloading-block-chain/

2) Connect to a remote node. This will allow you to only get the headers and get your wallet working really fast. Setting up your own node is most secure option, but you should be fine using a remote node. You can find some instructions for the remote node here:
https://bytecoin.ninja/2017/07/30/run-the-bytecoin-wallet-as-light-client/

Regards,

Jorrit

thanks for the link, but:

Unless you have an account on Mega, it is not possible to download the full >7GB blockchain.
Having a Mega free account does not help either as it stops downloading after about 2.5GB as you reach the quota.
Option 2 is not to be considered.

Any other alternative?

It could be bittrex, kraken and bitfinex. It will bring loads of new users and would be huge for the future of bytecoin.

Bytecoinmarket.com is now live!!!

This is an online auction style website that is all about Bytecoin....

You can post items that you want to sell or services that you offer for FREE and you can get paid for them in Bytecoin.

You could even sell your Bytecoins for cash or Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency that you want or the other way around. Almost no rules here!  Cool Shocked

Let´s start using Bytecoin

Instead of home made remedies, we need a proper solution.
The solution must come from devs in order to be fully implemented by the whole community!
