The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

The only way to save this coin is to relaunch with a fair start for everyone. Of course, that won't happen because you're heavily vested.
The relaunch is here! Monero. No, once a fork forever is a fork You are forgeting Litecoin is a fork of Bitcoin. Bytecoin will always have the stigma of one of the dodgiest launches ever. Just like Quark, the "super fast mining" stigma will bite its ass forever, no matter what they do. The fact you have to have an act of faith and thing there is some huge community on the deep web and it's not just a small comunity of people and the devs holding is laughable at best. Plus Monero has already improved everything Bytecoin tried to do in 2 years.

Now it's really one address per wallet. So to generate new address you have to generate new wallet and there is no other way to do it

Nice try. This keeps getting worse every day. 80% premined!! Even 5% is to much. Problem is even bigger because BCN is true anonymity coin.

80% of the coins have already been mined. Coin is allegedly being mined for 2 years but there is no announcement anywhere on the internet, clearnet or not, not even any news before i think march or april. You decide.P.S. 2 years with devs not building a gui, a open source pool or exchange. And simpleminer was reported to be intentionally slow. All of those MRO made in a month just saying...

Im tired of people saying... Its premine!! Its a scam!!
If u dont like it, easy, dont mine it! U have MRO, FCN, and other alternatives!
In 72 pages, almost 50 are arguing about premine...
PS: Im not mining BCN, I mined it 2 months ago and holding them. Now mining MRO...

Concerning how useful this tech is, is there any chance it will be adopted into Bitcoin? If not the core, how about a side chain?
Putting it in the Bitcoin chain itself is a hard-sell because there is a serious scalability downsize (all the cryptographically strong anonymity techniques break pruning), among other pedestrian reasons. A side-chain using it seems virtually certain to me, limited more by the deployment of sidechain tech than anything else... even more so than the ZeroCash anonymity design simply because the ring signature approach is so simple by comparison. But it's all a guess at this stage. Technology progress in Bitcoin is slow— for good reason— and now with the prospect that altcoin pumpers may we well funded to try to disrupt that progress… well, it'll be sad if what kills cryptocurrency isn't competition from traditional financial instruments or authorities but just poisonous behavior between competing systems. :-/ It will be sad indeed. But I tend to hope for the best, competition is a strong instrument and may (or may not) push the tech centuries ahead, including cryptocurrencies. I don't know about the "good reason" behind the Bitcoin slow progress. It stuck pretty much where it all began - low anonymity, ASIC problem etc. Popularity is the only thing that keeps Bitcoin afloat. I bet that if some people took some CN ideas and started to populate it in some super accessible (for masses) way - it would become (eventually, yes) more popular than BTC. Anywho. For now we're just stuck with BTC monarchy and it's sad. Indeed, competition would have an influence on tech progress in cryptos and IMO BTC 'monarchy' will turn into another form of rule
