Another one step forward- they've have made the API . Now I am sure BCN to be the first cryptonote currency which is widely used.
This proof that devs look forward to make BCN a 'Bitcoin' of the second generation coins.

I am impressed by API implementation. I didn't think it's possible to implement to cryptonote-based coins.

I don't know if you guys are trolling or naturally stupid...
But, Bytecoin was premined 85% by a handful of people. And before you can argue, THE BLOCKCHAIN is proof. Bytecoin has a premine comparable to NXT's 100% premine. This coin is dead.
Your ignorance won't make you any richer or anybody else any poorer. We've all done our research and we are well aware of what this coin is and isn't. Ego check on isle 5! Grats to the devs' hard work. I am already tired of all this nonsense. Second ''smooth'' came to our thread to FUD about BCN. I can't understand those guys. Are you really think this tactic can help you to promote your coin? You can't compete with BCN because of Bytecoin devs team who are the co-founders of CryptoNote Technology. That's why they understand the code and are able to make am important improvements.

The source code and the binaries were updated! New Bytecoin version is the next step because of wallet and node API implementation. There are also optimizations for hash function, transaction pool, and wallet JSON RPC API. The binaries are in the downloads section as usual. Downloads pageBytecoin WindowsBytecoin LinuxBytecoin Mac Thanks to our developers! Unlike others they know what they are doing.

Yep, our devs are pioneers of API. Their developments will make Bytecoin the first widely used cryptonore currency.

People who are thinking about buying bytecoin bcn need to do proper research first and not just read these posts made by the people who stealth mined the coin.
Do not buy this coin unless you have researched it adequately.
If you research it, you will not buy it.
All of the people who post in support of this coin have profiles that were created recently. Every other coin with a huge market cap has at least a few long time posters who support it, but bcn supporters are all people posting under brand new aliases. Why is that? My id is fairly new so if I say something you should research it and see if it is an idea shared by people who have been around longer. Same with the people making absurd gushing comments trying to sell bcn.
You not exactly the long standing vet of the boards. People will buy what they want and regardless of their level on this thread does not dictate knowledge, alot of idiots at the top, which mind you takes no skill to get to. I ask why you feel compelled to even state this.

Downloads pageBytecoin WindowsBytecoin LinuxBytecoin Mac Here's more info about this update from https://bytecoin.org/news#news1Bytecoin has a new release with a major update to the source code. We aim to provide sustainable solutions that will allow Bytecoin network to accelerate and flourish. This update tackles a number of issues including mass adoption accessibility and network aspects. The full list includes:
1. High Level API for Wallet and Node. This will allow 3rd party developers to play around with Bytecoin code and create new types of wallets and daemon modifications.
2. Transaction pool and minimum transaction fee updates. We've reviewed community proposals and created an update that will be beneficial for the network performance in the long run.
3. Improvements for Wallet's JSON RPC
4. CryptoNight hash algo optimizations for top speed as requested by the community.

About being the "victim" of unwarranted and unfair attacks. Sniff. You could write the Encyclopedia Of Human Absurdity by taking excepts from the Monero thread. But look out, since they don't yet have a single full-time Dev... And the MintPal listing has been basically a non-event... They are looking hard for a capital injection to accelerate their glacial progress... It's only 5 after midnight in the CN up-for-grabs space.

What is the truth about the bcn premine?
Most experts seem to say it was heavily premined and is a scam, but there are lots of new people who just popped up saying it was not premined.
How could a person find out the truth?
Should a person trust the experts and avoid the coin?
Or should they trust the people who are selling the coin?
How can someone decide?
The newbies that pop up saying its not a scam are shill/sockpuppet accounts for a Bytecoin bagholder...Trying to get you to buy so they could sell their coins to you even if it means lying and deceit. This coin was indeed instamined over 80% and the blockchain is your proof. You can see that over 80% of Bytecoins total coin supply was mined before it became public. AKA a 80%+ premine.

This has been constant debate before this coin and Monero/BBR etc. were even on exchange, you just add this to argument, so lets consider bag holding irrelevant. If yourself and anyone else chooses to go back and read from the start, they will a graph of the block chain that shows steady mining from 2012 onward, you say instamine when it took years to get to this point. Choose your words wisely, unless you intent is to spread FUD. This public is considered bitcointalk? Is this the only avenue to spread information? Is it not legit unless its on this forumn? The devs have stated they did not want affiliation with Bitcoin. Im sure the majority of people in this thread know nothing about timekoin, but if it was posted on here with booming success it would be considered a instamine because you didnt have a chance to get it from the start? (This may not be a great example as the mining and mint works differently) I've finally synchronized my blockchain with this new version of code and downloaded some statistics. Here is a difficulty chart starting from the genesis block. Spike in november 2012 looks strange for me, but it exists in data. I would like it to be noted that thankful_for_today is the original creater of Bitmoner, no Monero.

Bytecoin was released privately to a few individuals on the deepwebd(illegal part of the web using TOR etc), so it was inacessible by anyone else until a member found it and released it on bitcointalk, to the majority of bitcoiners. So it was indeed premined over 80% over the span of 2 years according to the Bytecoin Blockchain. There's no denying that, and there's no denying that only a few people own over 80% of all Bytecoins that would ever be made.

hello, how long does it take to instal it on PC? I've looked through the thread and it seems to take a while to sync daemon with the block chain, right? Is it really CPU only? or there is a GUI miner already?
I am far from my Wins and curious does it worth to start mining on mac book? (talking about solo mining)
