it also happened to me, I experienced it last year, even though our profession was different but our problems were the same, I am a bounty hunter who made mistakes like you did, at first I didn't set a high target for the coins I had, I just hoped and planned to sell coins above the ICO price but because the price surge continues and the green market, I think I have to hold it longer so that I can get more money but without realizing it, I was wrong, I was careless, all not as I expected, because of the decline prices are not like rising prices, decreasing prices tend to be faster and that is what ultimately made me lose because when I realized that the value of my coin was down and checking the value of my assets, it turned out everything had turned red, even the value was close to zero and it happened because of greed me because if only I sold it according to my target then me will get enough money but because of greed, then now I only get regrets

Greed never played in favor.  As soon as you start to be greedy, you start to get less.  It is like the law of meanness.  No need to spare all the money anyway.

Greed isn't something you can easily remove from a person. Money is a really good driving factor to want more. And it's money the easy way. Because of this thinking and as shown to be the experience of those who have been lucky enough, a person will be tempted to want more. Unfortunately not all will be able to take the price they wanted. So it is more like a race of who sells first when the price pumps up. This I would not agree because it does not actually make any altcoin better. What makes it better is when you would use it to pay for something or use it for the utility it was designed for to allow an altcoin to increase in value naturally.

Naturally, traders come to crypto currency with a loyal and considerate mindset
Which is to make profits from 1% - 50%

I.e a trader of 100$ investments wishes to get 150$ (50$ profit). But when the bull spikes comes in; instead of cashing out their profit, Begins to imagine building mansions and suddenly wants to hodl to 3000$

When they wake up the next day and are left with 25$; they say altcoin is shit, that is shit

What can be done to ease greed amongst investors ??

Wanting more can literally destroy a trader. He's intellectual capability of making good decisions are destroyed by his greedyness to have more money and he tend to lose more than to earn. He doesnt know how to stop and these is the only cause and solution for greedy people. If he gets the right price, better sell it then wait for another turn. Be a wise trader not a panic seller.

Very accurately noticed, the behavior is not experienced and greedy trader.  I cannot give advice, because everyone in this business builds their own personal course of action.  After several mistakes that I made, I reviewed my actions and began to set a stop, according to which I had to either sell or buy.  By following these rules, my assets are more controlled.

I would agreed on your explanation mate, if you are not greedy typical type of people, no doubt that in the end you're not gonna easy lose your coins. Because sometimes, We as a traders we got lose because of wrong choice of coins We bought in the market or We missed the pump of the coins were We didn't set it at the price We want it.

As u said. It is very common. Especially some newcomers. they always want coins to reach 1000X. In fact, it is very difficult to do. the best strategy is: we set an easy goal to achieve. For example, ten times the growth. then sell it.

This is the simplest truth that every person probably knows today. I think that the interest in trading among people will not end anyway. Therefore, I believe that cryptocurrency should in any case have real prospects.

True that is sure greediness but doesn't that exist? Imagine someone having 17k$ and making up to 2M$ in a bull run. On the blockchain ANYTHING is possible and some people will like to take that risk no matter what. Sure its good to take profits when there is a small surge but its not bad to think so high to making weird risks like that

Yes you are correct.
I have experienced this too .
It happened when I newly joined cryptosphere.
I allowed greed to take over and it resulted to me making some critical decisions on emotions and I lost .
We should all shun greed if we must succeed in cryptocurrency space.
To do this effectively, it starts from programming our mindsets

Well, most traders will be tempted to hold the coin if they see the hype of their coin.
Smart traders will sell the coin partly and the profit is already included, and holding the rest.
If later the coin dump, they wont loss because they already take the profit.

Greed is natural state of mind for an average human. FOMO is caused by our greed. I think that only a bad experience of losing your deposit can force you to rethink your strategy and pacify the greed.

One update to this post is that sometimes it is not always all about greed but carelessness
Some traders can be so careless that they won’t update nor check their portfolio for weeks

Which Inevidently result to loss

As a newbie without much knowledge, greed will always rekt such a person except you have prior financial management knowledge or risk management. Growing with time eliminate this habit I call it habit.
