It is absolutely necessary to do thorough research when aiming at investing in a particular ICO, and there are many factors to be taken into consideration here. ICO allows projects a means of getting around the typical method that consists of pitching to venture capitalists or banks for financing, which is a time-consuming and difficult process. ICO is an example of financing democratization – everyone can invest what they want and potentially receive huge ROIs, although at high risk of losing all their investments.

Yes. I try to study projects before investing in them. But if I buy a coin for short-term speculation, then I don’t study this coin. I think that it doesn’t matter much in this situation.

As a bounty hunter and an investor, I always educate people most on the essence of research. failure to research into a project before investing in it makes you an unprofessional investor and your risk taking is not considered a calculated risk. work hard, spend time and research deep into any project very well because most ICO's off late are all scam projects. researching well into the project, the team behind the project and how they manage their social media handles is key and will definitely keep you away from scam projects. I personally research thoroughly before investing in ICO's carefully.

Research before investing in ICO is a very essential when you want to invest in that particular project because nobody want to loss money. If you make mistake in doing decision then its your fault. Investing is so risky because of many scam ICO pretending to be good one.

in general we as investors and holders of course the basic thing we have to do is do further research before investing with ico, considering the market is not fully stable and many cases of fraud ico we will always be vigilant and research more about their work maps before investing in ico.

That's sure. Any investments has also risky, so to protect our money, we must do our own research before invest in. In crypto market, we have seen a lot of projects which scammed. Bitcointalk forum is one of places to search/ report scammers.

I remember when I've read a topic before stating that, bounty managers contribute greatly on which projects to choose, and I think it is really effective if we are going to see the need to figure out which ICO is the best through the best bounty managers that we can encounter here on the bitcoin talk forum?

I do not think that the salary of the manager can be judged on the project. Because they are also easy to bribe. Do you think everyone here is monitoring their reputation? Provide a couple of scams nothing terrible. This is not an option.

This is of course very obvious, own research about the project is mandatory prior buying some coin or token.
Otherwise, you may will lose your money because bad ICO or the worst, scam ICO.
But doing own research is not easy, it will consume most of your time.

First of all you must do your research before investing on some ico's etc. Reading some articles and whitepapers about the ICOs or project that has been running you must have the knowledge about that ICO or project to avoid some mistakes or some scam ico so that it may lessen the victim of those shit ICOs. It is like investing in a gambling or depositing your money into a
bitcoin casino you must need to know what and how the website is going on and how will you play that game and how you will earn good profit about it.

Research before investing is the most important thing, this is money and we know that 1 cent of the money we spend must be according to plan, especially crypto is the most risky investment so we have to do repeated research.

Analyzing cryptocurrency projects today is very profitable, because if you do not analyze projects, you can just lose everything you have, I think that you simply must do it. Data analysis in any case will be beneficial to you.

It's imperative that everyone has to be extra careful before investing in ICO's. The cryptocurrency industry is a very interesting industry and to be honest, the issue of scam ICO is very rampant. Over 70% of the ICO's are potentially a scam project. I personally won't advise anyone to invest in ICO's. Its best to wait and buy low from the exchange when the project is listed.

Not profitable but less risky, if you analyze projects before investing your money you'll value your money and improving your chance to find project that will generate good value, you need to evaluate and make things possible for a better investment outcome.

ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, have become a popular way for cryptocurrencies to raise funds from the public. However, they have also become an easy way to prey on the vulnerable, and the financial regulator recently warned customers about what it calls “these very high risk, speculative investments”. It warns that there’s little consumer protection and high potential for fraud, as well as high volatility. Some ICOs are regulated by the FCA, but this is on a case-by-case basis, depending on how they are structured.

As the FCA says, you should fully research any ICO before handing over your money. “You should only invest in an ICO project if you are an experienced investor, confident in the quality of the ICO project itself,” a spokesman says. Alternatively, consider investing or trading with a regulated provider.

Of course, I think it's very important for every investor. I mean how can any person invest their money before know anything about project. Not only research i think before invest your money contact their team for any confusing. Tell them about their road map, their future plan. Tell them to send you email for every update. It's money man you don't want to loose it anyway.

This is very good advice and it applies to all types of investments in the cryptocurrency space, however ICOs aren't as popular as they were last year or the year before that and now the focus is on IEOs and the soon to be gaining in popularity STOs (Security Token Offerings) which will require token issuers to apply for registration with financial authorities such as the SEC before launching their offering which will remove some of the risks involved in investing

Any investor run to into many findings and research for reliable, and genuine probably investment company, for the safety and security of their money that is why they are very careful to ICOs before doing any investment.  Bu we all know that in any business there has to be sacrifice and risk and sometimes failure before coming into one great successful project.

There is no investment without risk but investing in ICO has higher risk than other ways in crypto space ,I prefer to build mining rigs or invest in well known coins or tokens or even STO or IEO ,ICO isn't just my thing anymore ,if anyone still have interest in ICO investment I'd say they need to be extremely careful because there is a higher chance they are getting in scam project

No doubt. I do research rigorously before investing in any project. After all I do not want to waste my hard earned money in a shit thing. I also want others interesting in investing in cryptocurrency to research thoroughly before making their investment in it. Reports say that the market is filled with many fake projects always on the look out to rob investors and bounty hunters. So be aware of them.
