Bitcoin cannot be completely banned because it is decentralized hence there is no central authoritative body in control over it. It's transactions are controlled by the users without any third party involvement. Also, the big actors within the governments secretly own some Bitcoin and will never bring down such innovative technology of our time.

I would like to take up the points of an article published on Bitcoinist. (Even if some will say that this media is Pro-Bitcoin the points are the most important.)

Quote
1. Laws Can’t Be Written Against Bits and Bites
2. You Can’t Ban Open-Source Distributed Software
3. Bitcoin Can Be Broadcasted via Satellite
4. You can Send Bitcoin Via SMS
5. You Can’t Shut Down the Power Grid

Any regulation can't prevent us from using Bitcoin. Despite their attempt to keep an eye on the system, it is simply impossible for them to ban people using it. So why giving a fuck to "I'm afraid my country will ban Bitcoin!"
They have nothing to fully stop the ecosystem that is currently emerging.
Agree,no one can stop the growth of bitcoin.. It is decentralized so no one can find all transactions happening on blockchain.. It will be hard for them to stop people using bitcoin....

I think you are right, because no matter how hard people or the government forbids bitcoin, then bitcoin will continue to survive, even if any bitcoin hunters will do it to get it. And also if bitcoin is lost, it will greatly affect the world economy.

i agree bitcoin is unstoppable and goverment will learn it someday after doing whatever they can do to stop bitcoin
in my opinion after learning that there no way for them to stop bitcoin rather than going against it they will just adopt it

Some governments banned bitcoin in their areas making it hard for people to buy or sell bitcoin openly so they resort to underground exchanges for their transactions. Instead of banning bitcoin, China has tried to ban cryptocurrency exchanges and ICO, but the top coin proved to be permission-less and uncontrollable because according to a report, OTC and P2P trade was already exploded at that time. This proved also that a direct ban for bitcoin is impossible to be enforce by any government unless the internet is shut off completely.

And most of all, you cannot ban, much less kill, an idea. Decentralization will be moving in its own ways the governments cannot anticipate and stop. Truth be told, Bitcoin may die but the idea and the vision that Satoshi started will never. Sooner or later, in one way or another, there will always something that will come out carrying the same idea and vision. And sooner or later, fiat will die.

It seems to me that every state has a lot of control levers and pressure to prohibit what is unprofitable for them.  Thus, Bitcoin will also be under threat if the cryptocurrency is not fully legalized.  But I hope that the government of the most advanced countries is smart people and will use the opportunities of cryptocurrency for the benefit of their states and peoples.

For me, yes bitcoin can’t be banned even theirs countries already ban bitcoin, it's just like prohibiting their people from using bitcoin because in another side this ppl can still use bitcoin but illegally in their country. People can always disobey the laws whenever they want it, but if you caught, the consequence is also priceable. They truly can’t stop that list.  Smiley

Bitcoin is in a much better place right now. It’s no secret that the whole world could possibly benefit from bitcoin being 100% legal everywhere. It could bring us one step closer to mass adoption and one step closer to fulfilling Satoshi Nakamoto’s dream of having an electronic and cashless peer-to-peer money system.

They can't even ban illegal drugs never mind anything else. People will use it no matter what law is made about it. So you may as well just allow it since it is impossible to fight.

You're right. No matter how hard the government tries, they will not be able to ban bitcoin. It cannot be regulated. However, everyone is afraid of the ban because countries can regulate fiat money and respond to all suspicious frauds with them. But this, too, can be circumvented if you withdraw money carefully and do not attract attention.

China tried it and we can see how that played out. You can make it hard but If people really want they will find a way to use bitcoin.

You are basically asking why Bitcoin can't be centralized...

That's the first reason why it can't be banned, also due to being on a world wide network where everyone configures / changes it as they wish.

Such examples on why isn't bannable is because it's open source and you can still make derivates from it.

Bitcoin is using open source system through internet connection so nobody can stop using biycoin bitcoin as long as bitcoin can exist in many country's. Using of bitcoin is anonymity, in my own opinion they can use bitcoin even the location where people resides but they want to continue use bitcoin h/she can do this because internet and the new technology can't stop to progress use by worlwide and bitcoin is include the new system using internet connection. Holder of bitcoin can use it to goods in other countries through online shopping.

One of the unique features of bitcoin that makes it an excellent medium of payment is the fact that it is censorship-resistant, no "gate-keepers' to approved or disallow certain transactions as they deem fit. No one can ideally stop you from sending your bitcoin. The challenge however only arise when you intend to convert your bitcoin to government issued fiats- making use of the gate-keepers.

As long as there is internet connection, bitcoin will still be here. Even if one country decided to banned bitcoin, it does not affect other's transactions because we can directly transact bitcoin transactions to buy online goods regardless of your location as long as there is internet connection there.

The best reason is that if they forbid it, people will look for it more, so much that it will start to be a lot of persecution, because everything that is forbidden people seek what is prohibited by natural law will always be what they prefer. If we take into account all current events, there are many ways to evade the prohibitions, and to have up to VPNs to access it.

I agree on that even if your country ban access to some exchange you can always find someone to do peer to peer transactions or if you have a huge amount you can just travel and find a place where it is open to trade, no government can bring down Bitcoin and cryptocurrency it's just impossible to do.
