Wallet update 08/27/2014

We have released an updated version of our wallet, including minor bug fixes. This update is not mandatory.
The sources have been updated to the latest version aswell.

Some Windows XP and 7 users might still not be able to get the MintPal data, we are working on resolving this issue.
For Windows 8, OS X and Linux users this should work fine.
If there is anyone who thinks he knows how to solve the MintPal data bug, please let us know at #caishen on FreeNode.net.

Your feedback is much appreciated.
I have isolated the MintPal bug, it has something to do with the OpenSSL libraries.
Working on a fix/workaround.
In the meanwhile u can install OpenSSL for windows: http://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html
If you're using a 64 bit OS install this: Win64 OpenSSL v1.0.1i

That should solve the problem . I have a few hours free next week so will try to fix this in the wallet build itself.

I will try to include the openssl libraries in the windows build so people don't have to install openssl.
If that works, we will be all over it .

But unfortunately I can't get a single connection, is there a conf file with seed nodes available anywhere ?

Maybe your blockchain is not up to date. You need to give it time to download it from the beginning.

Sure I would but with 0 connections to the CAIx network, that time would be infinity

The wallet shouldn't need any extra nodes, just give it a bit of time and it should sync just fine.
The correct .conf name is CAIx.conf and u can use the nodes that karimdr2 posted.

A big thank you to karimdr2 for helping me out with the OS X wallet aswell!
