Yes, you can't win from your own home comfort...or maybe you can if you turn on UFC game then you can be a champ Here is one interesting MMA fight video to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FguXuJOiEk0If a 50 Kg black belt girl is fighting a man 2x her size who does not have any combat or martial arts experience she will easily defeat them, in a street fight there are no rules and a experienced martial arts know how to kick your groin and eye gauging is possible and then running is always the best self defense in the world and if you are a martial artist you will be fit enough to outrun them . I agree 100%

Epic fight, I thought Cub was done after the first round and might ran out of gas. But damn those body shots it's all right in the money. Those two put a slug fest but I would agree that Cub is the clear winner here
It was a great fight and i made a bet for Cub to win the fight as i wanted to take a risk because of the experience level between the two and i knew Cub is coming to this fight after loosing a lot of fights and if he was to loose this fight he could have being released from the UFC and hence i felt that he could come up with an incredible fight and that is what we saw in the fight.

Coming up next will be Demian Maia vs Ben Askren. Is Askren the same after suffering that brutal seconds first round knockout? There's possible psychological effects and that was also his first lost on MMA. If Askren is back with his mindset 100% then he wins. The location is also in Singapore, where he had many memorable fights. Maybe he will feel at home in this fight and boost his confidence.

Good for you mate, the thing here, is that Gracie was off my radar (no offence to those fans), that's why I just put a bet on Cub here because of the very attractive odds as well. We all know that he is on a losing streak, but most of the time this experience fighters will deliver some vintage performance and this is what we seen in this fight.

Coming up next will be Demian Maia vs Ben Askren. Is Askren the same after suffering that brutal seconds first round knockout? There's possible psychological effects and that was also his first lost on MMA. It is a good fight because both are good grapplers and we will see who has the better techniques, Ben Askren was fighting championship level fights outside the UFC but when it comes to the UFC all the fighters are world class in the top 15 and one lack of concentration could end the fight and that is what we saw in the fight against Jorge Masvidal. The challenges are many for Ben Askren to be a champion in the UFC and this fight will give you an idea on how he could fight against high level grapplers, the toughest he fought is Shinya Aoki and a young Douglas Lima.

The reception should be great for him. I'm sure he doesn't want to lose in front of the Asian crowd that will surely support him. ~snip

We'll see how Ben Askren is really made off in this fight. Some fighters never really recovered after suffering their first and humiliating loss. After all the big talks and challenging everyone in the UFC, the first fight had its controversy and he never gave a rematch to Robbie Lawler and in his second fight where he went to London to challenge Till but end up challenging Masvidal and that ended in five seconds and the next fight is not easy either, if he fails this one then he can retire . The reception should be great for him. I'm sure he doesn't want to lose in front of the Asian crowd that will surely support him. He is a popular fighter in Asia but he has to overcome Demian Maia which is a hard task.

Can't blame the guy for wanting to rise up fast in the rankings and challenge for that belt, he was that confident in his abilities. Unfortunately for him, that knee put him and his mouth to sleep. To be fair though, Robie isn't getting out of that hold. Early stoppage or not, Ben will choke him out to victory. ~snip He is a popular fighter in Asia but he has to overcome Demian Maia which is a hard task. Nobody is an easy task. Everyone prepares to win the fight and anyone who underestimates his opponent will pay dearly.

I am not having any issues with Ben Askren talking his way to the title because he was a champion in Bellator and OneFC and if he could win a few fights he could have got the title shot but with the defeat it will take a longer time to get to title contention. To be fair though, Robie isn't getting out of that hold. Early stoppage or not, Ben will choke him out to victory. The bulldog choke was deep and he could have gone to sleep if the fight continued for a few seconds more but before that the referee stopped which caused this doubt among the general public and earlier in the fight Ben took too many shots and even that could have being stopped by the referee and hence a rematch would be fair.

Ben Askren haven't fought for over a year since his last on at ONE FC. He was shaking dusts during that Robbie Lawler fight. Robbie was only a tune up, but props to him for making it a real tough fight. But let us say Askren was not 100% back at that time.
Ben Askren's defeat to Mashvidal could be a fluke. It could have been very interesting too see how the two combatants fared to each other throughout the rounds. Askren could be 100% back that night but we didn't see that and probably never will since he is not undefeated this time. That fateful knee deprived us at least a round or two. Kudos to Mashvidal though for making it an early night for him.

Lets see how Askren make a comeback with what happen to him against Masvidal where he got a One Hit Knockout. We will see his recovery after what happened to him. He must win into this fight so that he can gain his confidence again and probably fight Masvidal again for a rematch.

Wrestlers are incredibly tough, in fact it can be argued that fighters with wrestling backgrounds currently dominate fighting sports more so than any other martial art; however Askren's 5 second knockout was one of the most embarrassing losses I've seen, showed deep lack of understanding for distance and fighting instinct. He definitely needs a rematch to reclaim his confidence and prestige as a fighter after taking that flying knee straight on...

Ben Askren's defeat to Mashvidal could be a fluke. It could have been very interesting too see how the two combatants fared to each other throughout the rounds. You can call it fluke or luck but Ben Askren was run through like a truck and he was out cold. The set up was great for that knee and you cannot call that a fluke. I expected Ben Askren to dominate Masvidal but it was over just like it started. Askren could be 100% back that night but we didn't see that and probably never will since he is not undefeated this time. That fateful knee deprived us at least a round or two. Askren is intelligent enough to come back and fight but the aura of undefeated is gone and so does many of the fighters coming in UFC, there is no tune up fights and all the top fighters have the ability to finish the fight.

Maybe he was too relaxed at the start of the fight and wasn't expecting Jorge to be that aggressive immediately after the match started. I don't know if it was part of the plan to wait for Ben to come to the center of the octagon first before launching that flying knee like a rocket.

I later also watched his "friendly" wrestling match against Jordan Burroughs, who is an active Olympic Wrestler in Ben Askren's weight class, and Jordan Burroughs obliterated him, won with superiority like 11-0 (in wrestling points). Conclusion being, there is a great difference between being a competent sportsman & athlete, which Askren definitely is, and being an instinctive, mentally calibrated warrior who is able to handle real high stakes confrontational situations, the combination of the two is needed to become an uncontested champion in martial arts and combat sports...

That fight was controversial, remember it was stopped early by the referee, after stoping the fight and referee thought Lawler was down and out, you can see his hands was able to move and the referee was apologizing to Lawler because of that call. They say that the fighters in One FC are quite different from UFC. Just look at Vera who is not doing quite well during his days in UFC, but in One FC, he is a champ but not until someone defeated him in the last One FC event.

UFC is not the same as One FC but Ben is a great wrestler and a ground fighter but he is yet to prove against the toughest opponents in the UFC.

Indeed, the difference between the two are not too obvious but you can still realize that UFC got higher quality tho (maybe the only advantage of ONE is that it has also kickboxing events and not only pure MMA). Aside from Vera and Askren, another proof is when Mighty Mouse shifted to ONE and become also a champion in no time after defeating his opponent last Oct. 13 .
