The highlight of the night was Jean Silva turning the tide against Delgado in the main event. Delgado performed very well in the first round and really challenged Silva, but Silva significantly ramped up the pace from the second round onwards; it was great to see him apply constant pressure and ultimately secure a submission in the third round. Moreno’s victory over Morales was also significant for him; he had been in a bit of a slump recently, so getting back to winning ways helped him regain his momentum.

And I don't think MVP's performances are underwhelming.  His style is fun to watch imho.  But yeah, he's old.  And the UFC are bringing younger people in.

Michael Page never got a single finish in the UFC, and the crowd was literally booing him in Paris. I’m pretty sure the UFC just dropped him because he’s almost 40. He was welcomed by Jake Paul, and it looks like he will end his career in the MVP MMA promotion under the PFL banner. I really liked his fighting style, and maybe the level of opponents was too good for him to make a mark like he did in Bellator.

If they dropped him because of unrealistic pay expectations, e.g. if he wanted to be getting the same as when he was at his peak, then it's fair. But from a purely sports perspective, he was 5-1 in the UFC and lost only to Ian Garry, who also caused some trouble to Islam. And it was a loss by decision. So he deserves another contract offer (with adequate pay) if the UFC attempts to be a sports organisation, not purely an entertainment one.
When they cross that line and start only looking at the show business factor, they will put themselves on a path of becoming another WWE, with fighters acting their characters and with artificially created dramas.

There needs to be a balance there. Dropping a successful fighter just because he's deemed boring is not a good look.

Lmaoo...  Who are you to tell people how to run their multi billion dollar business?    He was dropped because he's almost 40.  And for his weight class, he prolly just has a couple more years of fighting in him.  And as said, the only mistake the UFC made was they got him in too late.  They should've tried to take him in years ago...

Anyway, what are your best picks for the event, guys?  People been talking about fighters from other events in here but never about your picks for the next event. 

I'm betting on Jean Silva to win because he's faced more top 10 fighters than Delgado, and for me, that's enough.

Moreno vs. Morales is more evenly matched, but I believe Moreno will win, mainly because Morales has a low takedown defense, just over 20%. Moreno has more tools to win than Morales, in my opinion.

Finally, McMillen vs. Rahiki should be a very quick fight because 9 of McMillen's 11 wins were in the first round, and Rahiki is also very aggressive. So, there should be a lot of striking early in the fight, so I'm going with Under 2.5 rounds.

What are your bets?

I got two of my predictions right for the last card. Jean Silva was the expected winner, and Moreno was also going to win. I was only disappointed with McMillen vs. Rahiki; I expected someone to be down in the first round, but it went to a decision. But I'm already excited for the next card. I'm confident Pantoja will become champion again and should win the main event more easily. What are your bets?

I'm looking at the Heavyweight division right now, and I don't see anybody out there that Aspinall can't defeat WHEN HE'S HEALTHY. That's how open the division is for him to be a champ again, and I believe that he can do it again once he comes back. Pereira had been a champ and he's older than him so... I think if he can, so does Aspinall.

I'm just disappointed that Gane got that title because he poked him. Let's say that it's an accident, but many will still think that he got it because his opponent got injured because of him. I think many will label him as the "Fake Champ" as long as he holds that title. I looked at the division, and I don't see anybody who can defeat Gane aside from Aspinall. My opinion only. Do I consider him a champ after what happened? Well, on paper, but many will disrespect him for what happened in the past. Aspinall said that the complications in his right eye is because of what he got on that fight... and we know it.

Unfortunately, that's just how life is. Let's just see who will try and steal that belt from him... or nobody might wanna try to do it.

Would not be surprised if Aspinall this or next year signs for boxing

What about Volkov who already fought with Gane and got robbed? I think he has chances of beating Gane. Give Hokit few fights or a year of experience and he might give a close fight. Or as a wrestler might even win. Gane was never good imho in something besides striking.

Btw at UFC 331 Renato Moicano vs. Brian Ortega is cancelled due to Ortega injury. Moicano will be having other opponent and will fight 2 weeks later at UFC FN 292 against Tom Nolan.

These are the fights I am really hyped to see.

First of all it is a main event fight, a long awaited real fight between Van and Panjota. Accidental champ (who has 1 title defense btw against Taira. full fight reply worth watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJPZ53NvBNM) vs real champ.

Secondly it is Tsarukyan. Who is finally is having a fight. Tbh, I wish Ruffy to win and put that arrogant Arman down. Cant wait for someone to kick down fake crown from Armans head. I think I will make a risky single bet on Ruffy.

Thirdly Moicano vs Ortega. They have met before long time ago. Ortega won, but now Moicano has chances to avenge that loss, but he will be fighting only shadow of Ortega now, as Ortega is one tiny step from finishing career (which is on huge decline) or be kicked out from UFC.

My bets: Panjota, Ruffy, Moicano.

Agree with the picks except for Ruffy.  Tsarukyan has been out there with the best in the weight class while Ruffy is still trying to get his bearings at the top level.  And he's coming in on short notice.  Tsarukyan's original opponent was supposed to be Charles Oliveira.

She's married btw. This has become a pattern by now. It’s always the same under Nina’s posts hahaha. I think Nina is doing a great job I really like her content, especially the long-form vlogs. Her Georgia videos were excellent, and she did a great job showcasing the local culture. Arman is also doing what he needs to do, because in the UFC, being a good fighter isn't enough anymore you have to be active and popular on social media.

This upcoming UFC event is not that interesting for me so I am probably going to skip watching it.
More interesting news for me is coming from Nate Diaz who just said that he is still interesting in trilogy fight against Conor McGregor.
I dont know how active he is with training but I think he could easily defeat this old version of Conor.

I don’t think anyone really wants to see another Diaz McGregor fight. Especially now with Diaz not being much of a draw. They’ll probably just run back the last fight, thinking that fans wanted to see it and will want to see it again since they were denied last time. Personally, I just want McGregor to finish his last fight and walk away.

I dont like what Nina Drama is doing in UFC. Even though her goal is to make UFC more popular and make it gain audience, her content is the same everywhere. Flirting with fighters, and her husband or boyfriend is filming all that. Arman, who is married and have kids, I dont think that he should make so many video with Nina, even if he is earning with that. I dont even know who Arman is now. A fighter who has a dream to become a champion, or a guy who is using his media and money to earn even more money. As I and Arman speak Russian, I have opportunity to find and watch much more content with him than many of you. He is too much arrogant, too much he shows off his money and his mind is too much twisted on the money. He is the guy who has put crown on his head by himself and look on people from very high. I dont like that kind of people, who treat others, if they dont have money like he has, as shit. That is why I am supporting Ruffy, even though I understand Tsarukyan has much more chances of winning.

Ruffy is live imho...  But it could also be too big of a step up for him and as said, he's going in there on short notice.  With a full camp, maybe it's good to drop a little money on him.  

Anyway I pulled the trigger on the degen parlay earlier today.  The odds is a tad over 600.  So 10 bucks win a little more than 6k USD.  Let's hope this is the one.

Diaz is now physically fitter than Conor. But Conor has been out of the fight for almost 5 years due to his leg injury. When he recently returned, he lost the match with Holloway and got injured again. How much he can recover now and whether he is really fit to fight is also a matter of concern . Diaz is a fairly aggressive fighter. Conor VS Diaz's fight before was very impressive. Viewers expect such matches now ,Especially if the fight lasting for a long time, both will be aggressive. If we can actually watch fight between Conor and Diaz in the future, then Conor will participate in it, maybe only because of the huge amount of income. Because I don't think Conor is fit to fight now. He has lacked in many things due to being out of the octagon for a long time.

I was watching some interview or live blogs with him, and there he has told that every video he is making, that is collaboration with someone, and the cost of such collaboration is 50-500k dollars. He is doing short video where he is eating (only show) huge portions of food, but these videos are only to gain audience and hype. All the rest, pure business and $ for him. Videos with Nina, not sure if they are for $ or to get audience and later ask for a bigger price for collaboration.

Btw, have you seen skinny kid in video with Tsarukyan? That is blogger N3on. He has paid 250k to be in Tsarukyan corner and to pick walk-out music. Either Tsarukyan is really so much confident in winning, or he has "$ $" in his eyes and want money more than belt.

Nobody's interested to see Diaz fight again, nobody's interested in watching McGregor anymore especially with that disappointing match against Holloway. Overall, I don't see this as something that will benefit the UFC, but who knows. I might be wrong because there might still be solid Diaz and McGregor fans out there who wants to see their idol fight.

He's still on a delusional state after getting his first loss against Gaethje that he's still thinking that there's something on his gloves. Now many are making fun of his statement after having those medical tests done. He's back YES but not as a fighter, but as a clown.

Correct me, but there have been his opponents in the past where they said that Gaethje really has heavy hands. I think Holloway, Oliveira and even Ferguson said that one, but correct me with those names. I'm pretty sure though that some fighters said that he has heavy hands, and we've seen it against Topuria. Could we say that Fiziev was an elite striker? He is 33. Seems that peak is gone. Against Topuria who is in prime, is looks like Fiziev will be KOed in first or second round. I dont want to go math, but by looking on Fiziev record, he is on a decline. Putting him against hungry for return and to prove he is best Topuria might end badly for Fiziev. Maybe Holloway could be a good test for Topuria? Holloway lost, but his striking imho is better than Fiziev, and he stood longer than others against Topuria Btw Tsarukyan vs Topuria I would watch. She isn't married but she’s been with her boyfriend for a long time. Some of her content are pretty entertaining since she always manages to capture the lighter side of the fighters.

Personally, I don't want to see Conor McGregor return at all. He’s had way too many injuries. If he’s absolutely adamant about coming back, then the Nate Diaz trilogy is the only final fight that makes sense.

Her boyfriend isn't even involved in her crew. She has a completely separate crew for her content, though sometimes her boyfriend does accompany her. She’s explicitly said this on her social media pages.

The only issue with Pantoja is his age. He’s 36 now, and the big question is whether all those career injuries will finally catch up to him across five rounds.

The interesting fight to watch is Mauricio Ruffy vs Arman Tsarukyan. The first round is going to be insanely high-paced. If Arman survives that early storm, he can win it. If not, it’ll be another TKO win for Ruffy.

As for Patricio Pitbull and Choi Doo-ho, this would’ve been an absolute great fight a few years back. Pitbull is 39 now and Choi is 35-year-old striker. I’m leaning toward Choi to get the job done.
