I didn't send much, my BTC bank is almost empty. Figured a little bit helps though, if nothing else it's symbolic Maybe throw some more at it when I reload. I was investigating if somebody sent money from the mybitcoin address. It turns out nobody did. Mybitcoin works by keeping its own internal database of who owns what, rather than using addresses to indicate who own what. Somebody in the mybitcoin system sent money to somebody else. It just so happens that bitcoin in that address was used. Didn't assume you were calling me cheap haha. Just clarifying what I did in case it made you confused or looked weird etc.

Well here's a non-qualified 'yes' from someone who hasn't been around for a whole month yet.

YES! They should get that money - it's one of the better infoporn videos out there for any topic.
Also, is it too late to donate some BTC to the bounty? Should I just send it to the address in the bounty thread, or is that address invalid now?

Don't do that. Send bitcoin to the address I listed in this thread.

Yes. The bounty specifications were not entirely met, but the quality is excellent.
I think only people with money in the escrow account should be able to vote, though. (Which would disqualify me.)

I didn't contribute to the bounty until afterward, but if bounty contributors are looking for a community vote, my vote is:
Yay.
We do need a technical video, but they are going to do that anyways so we should just go ahead and give them the bounty. Is my opinion.

Yes (Althought I already sent my money directly to the justmoon). I'm sure that with those funds, justmoon&team will produce perfect in-depth video next time.

I will abstain from voting at this time. I thought the video at weusecoins.com was TOO technical. Specifically it placed too much emphasis on mining. My ideal introductory video would not discuss mining at all if it could possibly be avoided, and I don't think it's necessary to explain mining to people who have never heard of Bitcoin and are trying to determine whether they should bother accepting or using them.

It is clear that aside a few individuals, the community made it clear that they want the bounty released to the animation guy.
However, a sample of 18 individuals is not enough to represent the whole community. So, if you did not vote, vote!

No.
Just kidding, yes. Is this still even a question?
|
Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable. I never believe them. If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins. I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion. Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice. Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Partial procedural operation and partially because everyone did not voted. I am stickifying it. P.S. If somebody can make it a forum wide announcement, that would be great.

Wouldn't it be more fair if only those which have donated to the said bounty could vote? I didn't contribute so I don't feel like I get to say anything.
