actually doing the research on the whitepaper or their platform usually there is already beta testing to be able to find out their platform not by asking on their telegram because of course later will give a good answer.

Not sure you must always put your money on top 10 CMC because there was a lot of good coins on top 100 CMC. that depends on how the project can bring a useful platform that is used by a lot of people. That may reduce the risk but that will make you get less than when you can invest in the right platform on top 100CMC. Less risk and less profit and the opposite thing will happen too.
Just do deep research before trying to invest in anything.

You need to see and do a research and if possible invest only some small part of what you want but always i think is not good to choose coins with huge premined, but some coins can have good potential and if you want choose some coins from top 100 and invest there.
