You might not believe it until you try it yourself. which is to try for yourself how it feels about the new platform you mean. but if you are still in doubt, I suggest not to try it, So just with the BTC / ETH platform, because that  platforms are the one most chosen by people.

I agree that if you are not sure about new platforms, you should choose a platform that has been trusted and used by many people, so you will be able to reduce the risk of loss on your own investment later.
it doesn't matter to try it because without that I will never know how it feels to use a new platform and can learn and also add more knowledge.

Indeed there are many coins in cryptocurrency, the more coins created the more difficult to choose.
I think if we want to buy new coins, we must wait at least until they have been proved as a real project.
So we must have patience before buying, and use our time to researching and evaluating the coin.

Something else has to be done in cubing the scam going on in the market other than abstaining from them till they enter the real market. Why are they ICO? it is the fund they raise that make them ICO and if we have to all wait till they develop the project or enter exchange, there might be no one to invest during pre ICO that will give them the fund they need  to develop the project.

Once these projects don’t meet their softcap or hardcap, there might not be a project for us to even invest in, except projects that don’t o ICO or are premined. I think research will still be the best, I mean very strict research before we invest.

If there is no guarantee of this, the research is usually very exhaustive, you have to take into account the profiles of the team, Linkedyn can be a good way to search if they are professionals, also the social networks of each team, can not be linked only to the crypto part, they must have a more personal profile, which the researcher must discover, because many tend to use many identities to be part of a team and it is not known if in fact it is the person or not.

If the team refuses to give identities, and that some remain anonymous is a reason for alert, because in these cases you should no longer be anonymous when referring to a project or platform, because there is no sense of trust, responsibility, because any person in anonymity can do anything and never be located.

Another strategic point is to check if the platform is supported by any company, if it is recognized it is much better because it will simply give the company a call and check if the company actually exists and if it carries out the support for the project or platform . Why should you trust a new platform? You're taking by making use of a new platform. I am. Not the type that takes interest in new things, cause I mostly see them as a scam. I wait till they grow to a bigger platform and gain reputation before I take interest in them.

It's not always easy for new legit platforms, and that's because scammers have ruined everything, they are everywhere and looking for who to scam. Honestly, that is just too much for the present crypto community to manage, no wonder why majority of them are not just thriving again, because they might not get very strong community to back them up, since majority or the community would rather back up coins that are within the TOP 50 to 100 coins in the market.

I just think there is need for these projects to be limited for now till probably we have more adoption of cryptocurrency, otherwise, most new projects will just keep wasting money in creating the projects as investors no longer pay much attention to project that doesn’t have a very strong convincing products and team members.

You shouldn't. But you must do due diligence and always research the people behind every new platform you are interested in. Any sign of a red flag, you stay away. Besides, there are many other coins/platforms to consider.
