With this abandoned match South Africa lost their last hope I think. Very unfortunate.

I also have no idea what was wrong with the management for not to have at least one reserve day for all matches. In England the weather is very unpredictable, they should know it.

This is really sad that we lost two matches just because of weather and they have no reserve days for this they need to fix this before start of event as this is mega event and all have equal chance feeling sad for both SA and Wi as they both need this match to be completed.

Very disappointed that today's match got washed out. I had predicted a victory for West Indies and they were on course for a win. But we can't so anything when rain makes it impossible for the match to get completed.

Usually they do not have a reserve day in world cup matches during the initial stage of the tournament, but in semi final and finals you might see a reserve day if the weather plays a part as they usually continue the match the following day, this is by far the worst world cup for South Africa after their reintroduction to international cricket in 1992 and there were reports that AB de Villiers was willing to join the squad before the world cup team selection but the selectors turned him down and if he was in the team i am sure some of the matches would have been different.

Ever since they introduced the 55% non-white quota in the senior team, a lot of the white players have decided to move to other countries such as England and New Zealand. The latest player to dump South Africa is Colin Ackermann, who announced last week that he'll be representing the Netherlands side from now on. Netherlands already have lot of South African born players, such as Roelof van der Merwe, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Stefan Myburgh.

Just wanted to post about India's performance yesterday. I missed the start but I just loved watching Australia play and lose so badly (it happens rarely so it was a treat watching them)

I bet on India but was not sure they would win. I am so so happy they did.

I feels that both were equally powered teams so it is going to be a good match to watch.I think Bangladesh have good chance.

^I picked SL and some others too have picked but now I cannot see which member picked which team. I feel SL has more chances of winning as ban have lost 2 matches and that too by a big margin (Eng match) while SL have been able to perform in rainy conditions too. Malinga is back in form so hope he outperforms today as well.

It's working fine from my side. May be the server was down or something was wrong. Try again now.

So, Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, looks like another rain delayed match or perhaps another match will not have a result because of the rain. This is really bad for cricket. After 4 years we have this event and every team prepares for this, give everything all the years to play a match but when rain interrupts, it's unfortunate. It should be known that the English weather has no predictability but this management had no back up plan. Shame.

Srilankan's fan must be feeling happy :p they are collecting free points lol. Don't know what ECB can do in this weather, reserve day doesn't make sense as well because it takes minimum 8 hours to finish one game. For this to happen  ICC need some solid planning.

I was siding for Bangladesh today and I think in pen and papers they are the favorite team. This will be bad luck for them to lose the point however there are nothing much can be done.

I think there will be roof but it will not be the closed ones. There will need enough gap between the roof and the wall of the stadium so that the wind can pass easily. In that case we can save seam bowlers.

And about bowling machine with 200 - 250 KPH?
LOL this will be interesting to see how the stamps break :-P

It's confirmed now sikhar's thumb injury looks serious if he's out then it's big blow for India. And his replacement is Rishab Pant.

Marcus Stoinis is ruled out of tomorrow's clash with a side strain, and Mitchell Marsh is brought in as a backup. Shikhar Dhawan is ruled out of a minimum of two matches against New Zealand and Pakistan as per the official broadcasters, owing to an injured thumb in the last game.

Not sure about Stoinis but Dhawan is in great form and he was needed against New Zealand. I have no worry for the match against Pakistan. I do not think they can do much to this Indian team.

Hope he recovers soon. Shikhar was not in good form all this while except for the Aus match where he played extremely well. They are bringing in Rishabh Pant (as per the reports) so am not so positive about it. Rohit has played extremely well so hopefully that balances things here.

Dhawan is inform batsman and he will be missed if he can not play match however this will be interesting to see Pant in the squad. Question is, in which position they are going to put him to bat? Rohit is doing extra ordinary job. Will the change position for KL?

I didn't realise that the same thing could happen in the final, and if so the rules state the two finalists 'share' the trophy. Has this ever happened before?
