Top coins to have in my portfolio?

I personally think that which list you are following is good but not good enough. Better you gather some knowledge and follow the market follow the project and then go for some investment. In that list most of them are top coins and in 9 coins( don't take Bitcoin as a coin it's a mandatory investment) 5 of them are platform based token. If you have a good amount of money you can buy those with great volume then it's fine. Otherwise the list is not so good. Bat is a very good choice in the list. I would add this are high cap coin with low risk factor so they will give very low ammoyt of profit. If you got enough money go for mid or low cap coins and always follow new projects. That will hepls.

BTC no need to explain, LTC and ETH are my favorites, BNB has recently grown very much and now ranks first in the my portfolio.

the coin you mentioned does have good ability and growth.
but if you hold too much, you need to concentrate and focus on all coin growth and don't miss a good moment, because good moments don't necessarily come back quickly and require a process to be in a good moment.
holding lots is good because the chances that we get will be more but if we can manage it well.

from 10 coins on the website I did not see Binance Coin, so I advise you to add Binance Coin in your portfolio, because I believe Binance Coin will increase very high and my estimate if you buy Binance Coin now and hold it until the end of 2019, then you will can get very good profit, because my prediction of Binance Coin prices at the end of 2019 is $60 or even more.

Those are good coins to hold if you want to add more then go for coins that are already in the top 20, as much as possible do not add new coins that are on ICO stage you will wait almost a whole year to get a result on your investment and sometimes, the results is not that good, proof is the many ICO that cannot reach their softcap.

if you invest in an ICO coin, then choose an asset that is actually already running and has a product. but for top coins as you say I think it's a safe way with a little risk of loss.

Just add up coins and tokens that have real usability and you won't have any problem in future ,real usage is what keeps coin or token alive and those with no real usability dies slowly

I am always searching for new coins, because there are tons of projects that are entering the market every day and it is getting harder and harder to find really great coins, but it still works and they are giving a really great profit.

You need to have the following coins in your portfolio. Bitcoin, ETH, BNB and Litecoin. Bitcoin because the rise in the market value of Bitcoin has been very high and ETH because ETH has been the second best coin of all time which has been giving great returns. BNB has been rising crazily and it would be a foolish who would not invest in BNB. Litecoin has been growing good.

I think you should pay attention to Korean altcoin like ICX, which is used a lot with blockchain projects in this country. So I think it deserves attention and investment in your portfolio

I would add Steem to that list. For me the most valuable cryptocurrencies are those that people use to do things. Steem is one of the most widely used blockchains with the Steemit blogging platform being the most popular use case. But they are also used to run other popular platforms like Dtube (a blockchain version of Youtube), Magic Dice  (Gambling) and DrugWars (Game).

Ethereu, ATOM and Monero. I think that among the top coins these are the best. I think that they have many advantages over their competitors. These are very good coins.

My favorite alt project is Stakenet. They're working to:
1.) Obsolete centralized exchanges (and with that - KYC, exchange hacks, frozen funds, corrupt/questionable leadership, etc etc)
2.) Support Lightning Network in a way that Bitcoin has a permanent scaling solution and everyone can start using it and stop worrying about adopting it.
3.) Use Lightning for a wide variety of new conveniences (lightning atomic swaps and incredibly fast, efficient interoperability) and build up privacy.

This sums it up very well:

On-chain, Bitcoin is capped at 7 tx/sec. The more activity the network sees, the slower transactions become.
As it grows in value, fees increase as well.
Lightning allows for a theoretically unlimited number of transactions at near-zero fees, but it has seen stagnant growth because there's little financial incentive for individuals to adopt it on their own.
XSN's solution involves using its decentralized MN network and the collateral locked in them to rout payments, act as watchtowers, and provide a ton of liquidity for transactions.
This will bolster Lightning without centralizing it.

As XSN is inflationary, the supply will slowly increase over time and allow more masternodes to participate.
With this design and approach, BTC will be able to scale and take on much heavier workloads without hitting any major bottlenecks down the road.

Additionally, XSN's masternodes are going to use lightning to restore some of BTC's inherent privacy and anonymity that was compromised by CEXs and KYC.
By embedding TOR into the network and implementing lightning atomic swaps, anyone will be able to instantly and privately swap a wide variety of coins without ever having to send them somewhere that is out of their control. This will greatly minimize the need for businesses that accept crypto to adopt 10 different types of coins as so many of them can be instantly swapped into BTC.
Imagine a standard Bitcoin qt wallet with an extra tab that offers everything that a full scale exchange has and you have the essence of Stakenet.

Adding major altcoins will boost the portfolio in the bull run, the other top 500 altcoins will also add value if the Bitcoin dominance falls under 50%. The reality is different but it teaches us the same valuable lessons in every bull run. The top coins I prefer are the BNB, LTC, XRP, XMR, XLM. For researching the whitepaper and team experience is required, not everyone has a such willingness to spend time for checking the profit rate of the investing. ICOs are not the priority for the small investors and new IEOs took the market share. Fraud is unavoidable in the online businesses and blockchain technology is not bulletproof.

One important things when considering portfolio is what are you objectives, and what do you value?
They can only be personal.

For instance
- Do I want to back-up protocols, or blockchain that have end users?
- Will I pick-up only live projects with already achievements, or ERC-20 based projects?
- How risk-adverse am I?
- Do I focus only on making a profit, or do I want to back-up very early stage projects that matched my values?

DTube for instance target people that want to earn utility token and are fed up with lack of privacy and demonetization.
For that purpose, we intend to give fun to our users when voting, posting or uploading a video.

We will attract people who share our values, and value the fact project has already been live for 2 years, as opposed to a lot of hit-and-run ICOs.


So yes, building a portfolio says a lot about what you are.

I think EOS is a good coin as a long-term investment. But coins that are not on the list and are worthy of long-term investment in my opinion are BNB Coin. Ethereum with current price conditions is quite interesting and I think that accumulating ethereum will provide profit in the coming months

Don't buy altcoins. Buy bitcoin because it is the most reliable way to earn money with minimal risk.

If I can fill my portfolio with bitcoin and ethereum, then I am okay. If ethereum is still not grow as it should for now, I still believe it will later do, which might not be too long from this time again.
However, there are still other altcoins I believe have future prospects and are far better than the shit coins that are almost everywhere.
