They are not yet finalizing everything the last article I read was they are building a team around it, and they are going to launch last quarter of the year, we will read more news about this Facebook before the launching so I expect a lot of new threads about it, because  people believe this is the biggest coin to launch in three years.

Well I can see that a lot of persons don't really love the idea of facebook creating a coin in the crypto space saying that it would just be a centralized stable cryptocurrency, well I don't doubt the fact that it might be a stable coin facebook is launching, but we should know also that this act will not only cause a growth in facebook, but it would make a lot of people who doubted the crypto market begin to believe in it since mark is now getting involved.

There's already a lot of news about Facebook launching their own coin since last year, and after they've made an announcement people are already expecting more news about their own coin, it's big news and will headline a lot of news this year and the following year, and people are going to wait hopefully no ICO since they already have funds, but listing in top exchanges is a must.

 In my honest opinion this is a decent moves for Facebook CEO for making a Globalcoin.

Although I don't have much information about them or about the coin itself, I hope that it will give another competition between the other coin so we can have more chance to make a profit from the globalcoin.

I welcome if the plan really happens. Because in my opinion this is an advance in cryptocurrency activity and we should support it.

Facebook has surely brought great money and minds on this project, but I don't believe that it will impact the sector that much. Maybe people will use it on Zuckerberg's various platforms in the very beginning, but I doubt that the token will be used that much. This seems more of a symbolic approach from the institutional players to make crypto seem more secure and usable to the masses. Apart from that, I really doubt that it will have any Wow! effect.

That is if the payment method you mentioned will be accepted by Facebook. One thing that we need to get clear is that, Facebook coin may not be a global currency as people thought it will be, Facebook will only be a stable coin that will marketed to its users, and when we talk of users, we are not talking of regular users, but the commercial users on its platform.

We have millions of commercial users who would be willing to go through any method Facebook imposes on them because of the usefulness of Facebook platform to them in marketing their products to end users and regular customers on their platform. So this coin is not actually going to be for everyone, but for specific people on their platform.

Maybe it will help people to use facebook better, or maybe this coin can be used to buy something in Facebook. But for me it is still altcoin even it will more famous than bitcoin. But bitcoin already central of crypto.

Well said, Facebook coin will help in the adoption cryptocurrency and make it known globally but it is still an altcoin. Bitcoin is still the number, I don't think it is possible for another coin to take its place.
