Facebook actually created the cryptocurrency, I heard that news on tv and identified it in the newspaper. It is good news for me because it will have a good impact on cryptocurrencies in general or bitcoin in particular in my opinion. Also, I really hope Facebook does well on this campaign so that people can use cryptocurrencies extensively, have a better view of cryptocurrencies that it is legal, not a scam... Facebook will not succeed in what they are doing for a while. They need the Government to confirm their actions first. Facebook has abused its knowledge of the confidential information of its users many times and therefore I do not trust it. I would prefer that such a global stable coin be issued by a state or group of states. It seems to me that even a similar Chinese CBDC coin will be more reliable. It seems to me that transferring global financial stability to private hands is unreasonable.

Yes Facebook announced its coin caller Libra. Its good to see big giant companies are up to blockchain and crypto. If Libra comes many general people will enter this crypto space. But the problem with Libra is its a centralized coin.

Now it is too early to talk about the prospects of this project. I've never seen a Facebook ad about Libra. I think that it will be possible to make a decision when Facebook personally announces the release of its own cryptocurrency. At the moment, all the news that we see are fakes or unfounded. Don't believe anyone but the source.

Destined to fail.
What's the most important for a crypto coin? It's decentralized and anti-censor.
Who are the teams behind Facebook's Liba? Facebook, paypal,Mastercard, Visa, eBay ,Stripe and other fully centralized financial institutions
All these centralized founder members are not anti-censor,and will have to choose comprise when pressure from Gov,so the Libra group will collapse eventually.
And recently, many members choose to quit the Libra including paypal, mastercard, visa, ebay, strip, this exactly reflect the importance of decentralization and anti-censor.These companies have to choose quit for business survive.

I see so many of you saying that facebook would not succeed with Libra, so here is what I was thinking in response.
Facebook has what the government does not have. People. From every country. From every corner of the world. All they need to do is urge its users to send a mass appeal to their local politicians and leaders to urge them to make pro libra policies. In return. Offer a lot of free money. This way, facebook can not only change any government's mind, but it can change any government it pleases to.
Most importantly, they don't even have to ask their userbase to do this directly. They can manipulate the feeds and subconsciously people would do facebook's bidding for them.

first time hearing facebook will make digital currency I feel happy. because by joining Facebook in cryptocurrency will make the crypto market bigger. Many large companies such as MasterCard, Visa and Paypal are included in Libra Associations. an institution that will control libra and support libra. but lately I heard the news that some of the big companies (mastercard and visa) decided not to support libra. I was surprised what really happened with Libra? will 2020 libra really be released? We will wait for futher news.

This is much better than creating their own coin and if facebook decided to do it then it will bring a lot of positive views in crypto industry but it is unlikely to happen because this large companies are all about profits, that is why they want to have a full control on their own coin. they already discover the greatness of crypto using blockchain technology and they are using it as front for their own self-interests.

I think when such a big projects like Facebook or Telegram will manage to launch their coins and regulation will let it happen, the world will change completely. It's a very serious step.

GlobalCoin is coming. What are your thoughts on this new Facebook-made altcoin? What have you heard about it?
Share your first impression!
Global coin now is called Libra, so far it was very noisy in the social medias and many scammers are using this name too to find a victim to scam others. But no definite date yet about their launch, only so far rumors which is 2020 is their day of launch. For sure many investors will attract to this coin and most of it for sure of course is the Facebook users.

You need $10 million to run a masternode on the Facebook blockchain. Another greedy scam project from Zuck.

The mass adoption will surely go up if Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg) can fight back towards the governments of the EEA countries. The troubles haven't started yet and the only some signs show on the cryptocoinmedia. The launch of the Libra has to be done with the regulation rules and breaking these rules will cost the team. Investors should be careful and the scammers use the fake ICO websites in order to attract the potential victims who want to take bonus coins as an early investor. It is shameful to see so many opportunist scammers around.

Facebook’s Libra Just Got Its First Major Supporter in CongressSen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) wrote a letter to Libra Association member Anchorage, a South Dakota-based trust company, endorsing the Facebook-led project and citing it as an example of a technological advance he feels is needed to aid U.S. consumers.https://www.coindesk.com/facebooks-libra-just-got-its-first-major-supporter-in-congress

I didn`t doubt they will buy some votes, one way or another. With money and power they have, they will buy one by one until they have enough supporters. How time is passing I dislike libra project more and more, looks like they are ready to do everything to start their own bank, with their own rules. They are getting support from congress, but some of the partners are quitting. Facebook libra coin is drawing attention, but I think people will realize how shallow this project is, even people who plan to use it will be disappointed in some time and they will transfer to old well established crypto currencies.
