Health is very important and should be given the top priority by anyone who is looking for a good, happy and fulfilling life. That is why, aside from good diet, many people are also taking food supplements making sure that their bodies got enough nutrients like vitamins, minerals, enzymes, probiotic, antioxidants and others in our daily fight against aging and diseases.

 I am taking fish oil, garlic oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, spirulina and sometimes tumeric capsules. At the moment, there are so many choices for us available and here in my country there are already sellers who accept bitcoin as one of their mode of payments (MOP).

Minerals and vitamins rich food are way better than this synthetic drugs.  I don't remember feeling energetic and healthy after taking supplements. Some  even make me hungry.
I only take supplements when fruit market is far from me.
I take my foods/herbs in this order:
MORNING after sleep and before meals:   citric acid rich food (lime, lemon, Samia seeds [tamarind] etc) with 2 litters of hot water (make sure to drink it very warm).   Helps flush the build up of stuff in my circulatory system and makes my head/thoughts clearer.
Make sure to take the citric acid with lots of water otherwise it will be concentrated in your system &  make you a bit tired or sick.
* Next is tea. Tea helps calm my head.
* After this I take some fruits/vegetables, Avocado pears, red apples, bananas, ginger,  cashew nut, and any protein rich nut/pea.  
* Then I take my morning meals normally around 11am—1pm

I don't take supplements,but I'll have to.
I have seboreic dermatitus,acne and low energy.Something is wrong with me and I'll have to visit a doctor.

Im not taking any supplements now because I realuzd the true nutrients is from the foods we eat daily like vegegables and fruits who have rich in nutrients. Because maybe the supplements that you are taking is danger to your health or have bad side effect. Better to eat with foods of high nutrients because it is better than supplements I think.

Yes health is wealth.how you can work if your body is unhealthy.we all know this.and taking supplement like vitamins can help our body strong.theres nothing wrong taking vitamins it gives us our body active and strong.
Reminder: always drink a lot of water to prevent sickness because health is wealth

Organic foods are much better than take it those supplements in the form of tablets which may cause side effects at the later period of our lifetime.I am not taking any separate supplements like this just following my my balance diet always and living the healthy life until now.

Nope never been using Food supplements since I believe more in natural way of healthy living and that is eating fruits and vegetables that coming from my own garden and no artificial help..now I love hydroponic garden and this is more easy to breed .food supplements are good but we really don’t know what inside it,we cannot just rely on the labels because that’s not an assurance

Supplements are also like a chemical so if you intake lots of supplements it is also not good for your health that's why I am saying don't take lots of supplements unnecessarily otherwise if you really want it then no problem with intake.

Yes, I do take supplements, mostly multi vitamins and lots of Vit. C. I'm a smoker so I do take like 500 to 100 milligrams of vit c. Of course I take as much water as I can and fruits and veggies and before I go to bed I take my usual multi-vitamins.

The suplements are not working as well as well balanced diet. So it's much better for your organism to get vitamins etc from real food instead of suplements. But if you are not able to eat healthy the suplements are ok

No I’m not,but I live healthy living .i only eat organic food and chooses meat that I will intake..I prefer more on seafood specially those with omega 3 oil.

The suplements are not working as well as well balanced diet. So it's much better for your organism to get vitamins etc from real food instead of suplements. But if you are not able to eat healthy the suplements are ok
That’s right mate,we need to have right vitamins than those supplements that we don’t know on what’s made and from where it was created.

So that’s why I prevent myself of using some ,even trying I won’t

Taking of supplements in replacing our lose nutrients is good and that makes us to look good and healthy too. I have been taking "well man" for sometime now this product from vitabaitic is one of the best supplements I have taken and it makes me really feel healthy and good.

I think if your body is fit and can hold everyday activity, it is okay not to take supplements. But if due to your busy-ness and if your food can't meet your energy needs, then the supplement is needed.
I only take a supplement when I'm planning to go on a business trip. But it's only a food supplement, just to make sure I got the right intake.

I think the supplements are important for everyone to to make some changes in our body condition because without the help of the supplements we don't make the changes are came out from some health condition is very difficult that's why if it needed we need to take it for long time.

No doubt we need supplements, but the way of getting supplements is matter. I meant we should get vitamins from vegetables, meat and fruits and don't take medicines. Actually, we should choose nature way to make our body fit and strong then we don't need supplements power.

I really don't know the difference between supplement and the tablets that we are taking because both are physically in same design so how we can split their supplements in its nature so that I don't know about the supplement

I do not take food supplementsas of now because i love to eat fresh foods that comes from the field and those coming from the farm like meat , vegetables , fruits , fresh milk from cows and goats. Health is wealth definitely , because we always need to be healthy everyday for us to work for our family and having a healthy lifestyle makes our lives happy.

Supplements been helping me through out life. I'm currently taking alot of vegetable supplements to help my diabetes. About 7+ supplements.
I've taken cough supplements also.

Some vegatables I can't eat because it taste nasty n sum are unavailable. So supplements help.

after reading this I know something what is the supplements before reading this topic I think it is natural but supplements are created for getting the wealth to be better and I think in most of the time we need to be naturally developed our health otherwise it will give some side effects also.

I take supplement pills. In fact, I take so many of them that my stomach can't digest them all. They are sitting in little pockets of fat that my stomach has enclosed them in. But they are starting to seep out of the fat, and it is adversely affecting my liver and gall bladder.

I only take naturals such as fruits and vegetables,making some experiments or checking YouTube lol

Your best bet is to juice. But eat a little of the pulp, as well.

Juice a wide variety of plants. Include leaves of some trees... test to see which ones are good for you. Also, some flower petals.

Legume protein is better than meat protein. But eat a couple ounces of meat a week.

Now I gotta go and slice of a chunk of butter and chomp it down with a teaspoon of peanut butter. Grin

i usually take multivitamins only. But before, when i was working hard and eating very rare, i was taking some whey protein and fish oil to keep my body a little bit avarage instead of loosing weight.

No, I don't consume supplements, but I always take care of my body. I am trying to sleep well, eat, and do some sports activities like a walk in my neighborhood, or something like that. Supplement forms of turmeric that are hydro-soluble will absorb better. But, yes, check with your doctor as there may be contraindications.

Creatine is not healthy for your body.
I think that you can keep with protein but you have to eliminate creatine. You body will not endure taking so strong supplements.

I'm 77. and I don't take any supplements, drugs or other artificial concoctions. I research food and natural mineral content, and ensure that I have s well balanced diet. I don't smoke, and I don't add sugar to anything, and I try to get  enough exercise. Contrary to popular belief, I don't eat McDonalds burgers or other processed meats. I don't accept any vaccinations either, and I haven't for about 50 years, and I never get colds or 'flu, even when I am surrounded by the vaccinated 'flu sufferers.

You have the right attitude, as I'm sure you know. These two are absolutely linked, and a lot of people fail to understand it.

Yes, a few people do need supplements and vitamins to help with very specific health issues, but for the majority of people this isn't the case.

So many people see vitamins and supplements as a quick fix alternative to healthy eating, exercise, no smoking, low alcohol... and this is really stupid. If you want to take care of yourself, then diet, exercise etc are the important things. Vitamins and supplements are not a magic quick-fix alternative. A McDonalds plus a vitamin pill does not equal healthy. You can get all the nutrients you need from a balanced diet.

A balanced diet plus exercise, plus cutting back on obvious harms such as smoking and alcohol, and valuing moderation instead of excess - this is all you need. The magic pill doesn't fix things, it's not really magic at all.

I try to have a healthy diet, too. I drink a bit more than I should, but I don't smoke and I do exercise - and I'm someone else who doesn't gets colds or flu.

Basically if you want to be healthy, you have to put a bit of effort into it.

Health is definitely a biggest wealth not everyone can get. Taking supplements for your health varies from person to person depends on their age. Elderly people required to take supplements because of their age-related wear and tear. For younger people, I don't think it is necessary to take any supplements unless they have any medical complications.

And I don't take any supplements my age is in late 20s

Supplements contains steroids which can be harmful side effects
I would not prefer to take supplements

Supplements is a general category and not all supplements contain steroids.
Vitamins are considered as supplements as well that are good for health.

I take a protein shake mixed with the following four Brands:

1. Progressive Phytoberry - Contains many berries combined together as a powder
2. Progressive VegeGreens - Contains many veggies combined together as a powder
3. All One original formula.
4. Vega sport performance Protein Chocolate Flavour.

Mixing the Ingredients:

A scoop is included with 1. 2. 3.

I use 1 scoop of Vega Sport, 1 Scoop of Progressive Phytoberry, 1 Scoop of Progressive VegeGreens, 1 heaping tablespoon of All one original formula, and put them all into a blender.
I add a cup of water, and mix on high for 45 seconds.

Edit: Recently, have added in Omega 3 supplement as well, 1 teaspoon taken separately, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. (Taking this with itself or food), this helps absorbs the fat soluble vitamins better, if taken right after.

I been doing this for a few months, and It's the best in health I have felt in a long time. I don't get tired as much as I used to, I have much more energy and concentration. And some health stuff, fixed, and gone.

I been studying for a while on supercentenarians, journals, and various stuff in regards to the aging process. And in regards to telomerase shortening, mitochondria dysfunction/damage accumulation over time, and so on. I have came up with a cocktail of supplements (Prefer to keep it a secret), and have 1 person agreed to take it regularly. They have taken it for over a year, at the age of 53, looks like 30-35 years old. Almost everyone guesses "30s". I think I've managed to reverse aging partially, but there are still upper bound limits like the hayflick limit. Eventually all your cells turn to cancer, etc.

But I think human life can be increased to around 120 or so with the right stuff.

Yes, of course. Nowadays it's impossible to get all the needed vitamins from food. I take vitamin D and Omega 3 every day. Depending on the season, I can add different supplements. By the way, all meds I order in Canadian Pharmacy. It's a great way to get what you need and save time.

Health is very important and should be given the top priority by anyone who is looking for a good, happy and fulfilling life. Just this past month that i try Fish oil and yes it is Good as i can feel the effect,and also Cranberries and garlic with honey everyday.

And 10-20 mins jogging or walking daily and going to Gym twice a week what make me fit and healthy now.

What are the food supplements you are into?
I've been a huge fan of those 12-in-one supplements with different microelements and vitamins in it.
But several years later I've found out that its not that good for you as it sounds and sometimes may be even dangerous for health.

Well food supplement is good for our body. Go natural is also fine and I think its much better.

Its hard to get sick this time that there's a virus. So to prevent having cough with phlegm, im taking lemon tea with honey. I drink it every morning my replacement to coffee.

I just heard from a friend that Gingko pills are awesome for weight loss. He was taking them for 6 months and lost a lot of weight recently. He was also using some powder drinks everyday, mostly protein based without carbs, so not a 100% sure what other things him helped to lose weight.

I don't take any food supplements but as I grow older, I think that I'm feeling the need to take it.

But so far if my body is still in shape and I don't feel anything bad at all, I wouldn't take it. I would only take those natural supplements without any chemical mixed.

Vitamins and supplements are recommended only when you can't afford to fulfill the needed amount through your diet.
If you are living in a remote place where you can't find the food you need, if you have special dietary needs and if you are allergic to some food or you are a vegan, you may need to take some supplements but always do it with prescription from your physician.

I eat healthy food and live the same lifestyle, so I don't get sick at all. But I do take food supplements (such as spirulina, wheatgrass juice, organic minerals)

I do take vitamins, but nothing beats fresh and healthy food along with a little bit of exercise. Here's what I take so far:

1. Healthy food (as much as possible, stay away from fried food)
2. In every meal that I eat, I always include fruits and vegetable and they take up about 2/3 of my meal.
3. Sodium Ascorbate + Zinc vitamin (I take ascorbate as opposed to ascorbic acid as I am acidic)

I take quite a few, actually. Currently vitamin C, high doses of vitamin D, krill oil (omega 3) and a compound of melatonine, valerian and other herbs to help sleep better. I quite often use products from Dr. Sam Robbins but I cycle them (don't take them every day), namely Alpha Viril, Lean Optimizer, Blood Sugar Optimizer and Blood Flow Optimizer. I'll try more of his products in the future. In the past, I would take zinc, magnesium and other minerals, but since I take compounds that have them in, I no longer take them isolated.

I spend a lot of money buying supplements.

Meaning you are only taking supplements when you feel not good?but this is not a medicine but yeah it can help you recover.
maybe try to consider using those supplement permanently and not just when you felt sick and unwell .

Although I think I don't need it since I do a lot of sports like boxing and jogging I take mineral salt supplements like Polase and Supradyn and I must say that they reintegrate great that make me feel good

Yeah i take some Green barley and guyabano leaves,consistent for 3 years now and yeah it helps me alot.before i always feel sick and lazy but since i follow instructions and with exercise ?now i am renewed and feeling younger than 5 years now.

I take multi vitamins every single day
At least cheaper and easy to sustain.

Its been long since i have the intention of going into taking food supplements, although until recently I was finally able to start taking one.

I'm currently using a NeoLife product called 'Formulae IV', its an all round combination of essential vitamins and minerals. Purely natural.
