I'm holding altcoins just for diversification reasons so that I have some other holdings while waiting for bitcoin's skyrocket. But I disagree to you that bitcoin cannot dominate more than 80% of the market.
You will see it within few years when most of the people are into holding bitcoin instead of altcoins. That will increase the demand and the total dominance of bitcoin in this market.

in my opinion it is still feasible ... because there are still many potential altcoins that can generate profits for us for investment ... but we must be more careful in choosing altcoin ... because there are already so many altcoins that have no growth after being in the market for so long. then don't let us choose wrongly ..

For beginners in crypto investing, that's a good advise as coins in the top 20 are proven already as a good coins to invest.
However if you have explored the crypto space and been here for a longer period, you have the experience and enough knowledge, so you can take a higher risk investment, preferably not in the top 20 because we are looking of a very cheap coins here that hasn't gain popularity yet.

my answer to your question will be yes they are still worth investing on in 2019. I have personally saw potential altcoins this 2019 alone both already existed altcoins and status. Take ethereum, litecoin and some top ranked coin as an example.  If anyone had invested on this coins would better profits because they have shown good signs.
