Currently IEO's are becoming pupular and providing a more reliable option for new projects than ICO's. Previously a lot of new projects started by raising funds via their ICO sites and because of unregulated nature of this avenue, a lot of scammers used the medium to swindle a lot of victims.

Now the story has changed as it only serious projects that would want to go through IEO's, we no longer would hold only the project body responsible for any IEO scam but the exchange, so any exchange that values its reputation and users should do a proper scrutiny about any project before accepting their IEO sales. For instance if an exchange fails multiple times with their IEO, it will drive attention away from them, that is why Binance still draws a lot of attentions because it has recorded more successful and profitable IEO's.

I don't think it is true. Actually, I doubted that some SCAM projects are looking for good exchanges. Because they already knew if they will be listed on good exchanges, they will collect good money how much they deserved.

I couldn't agree more. The idea that an IEO is reputable by default is a fallacy. There are so many dodgy exchanges with fake volume and scam accusations that are now cashing in on the IEO market, more or less directly partnering with scammy projects that plan to make "easier" money grabs. Don't believe the hype.

Soon enough, the IEO market in 2019 will be as unreliable as the ICO market in 2018 for investors.

the days of IEOs are going to be a lot shorter than their alternatives because the exchanges are for now are filtering the worst ones and only try to list the least scammy ones and those that are not obvious scams but still are. but soon enough to earn more money they will start accepting bribes in form of "listing fees" and list everything and we will be where we started. in the end any type of fund raising through token distribution must end.

Same thing the original poster is saying, if dobitrade continues to list scam projects, it will bring down the reputation and no one would want to buy from dobitrade anymore, unlike ICO's that same scammers can come in different shades and names just to swindle their victims

You may be right but we must also note that even if developers pay high for IEO, they can still take back that with ease because many will buy in the exchange even if that project is not legitimate. They can still conduct IEO even if that is a scam project.

but there is very few IEO on Binance compared to other exchanges. if you enter on smaller exchanges, you will see that there are a lot of ieo.

What killed ICO is proliferation, so many ICO's at a time, from tens to hundreds a week and even thousands within months. So far the rate has reduced as I am not aware of any known ICO ongoing. The IEO's will then have to struggle through exchanges as the best will stand out. People are wiser and exchanges should learn not to list any garbage except they intend to lose it all

I think the IEO will prevent from the scam project because before they can release the project, they need to get verification from the exchange which will help us to get the potential and profitable project in the future. But that will not stop IEO from the scamming because the scamming itself will always be there. At least, the exchange will give their contribution to scanning the right project, and the customer itself could feel save to invest in the project.

IEO brings short-term returns to investors and if the project is really good, the value of that coin will reach a very high level and it is very easy to double the profit if many people are interested. I often participate in projects that have been mentioned by many people and up to now I've participated in more than 6 IEOs and my current profit is over 1200%. It's investors who should be careful about exchanges first. Not all exchanges are same. You can't expect good from a bad exchange. Anyone investing in yobit's IEO is gambling.
And secondly investors should also choose which IEO to invest on as not IEO would be the same. So, you still need to research about the project and make sure, it's worth your investment.

The use of careful word in the title remind me that still there is risk of scam projects even if the project promoted by highly reputed exchange,so what we need to do is don't trust the exchange even if they are huge just see the project from yourself and decide it is whether worth to invest or not.

FOr me even many IEOs are not worthy to invest because their main motivation to create such project is to make profits not to create any benefits to the investors.

I think in the future, exchange will have to work hard to make their projects successful, or they will be exchange-traded in the future.
I'm currently quite worried about IDAX. it is a pretty good exchange but recently it has allowed many trivial projects to sell IEO on their exchange. They seem to be more interested in money than exchange reputation.

but BINANCE rarely opens projects for the IEO, maybe because the requirements are quite strict.
but I really like the concept of the IEO from the ICO, because I think it's safer and avoid fraud

Yeah this is true if a project after hosting an IEO on an exchange turns out to be scam the exchange will also be held accountable. So in view of This it's advisable exchanges conducts a strict kyc for the team of every project that one to host an IEO and post in the exchange.

You may not know because there are scammers too that are willing to invest just to get in to this new way of investing and funding of such projects. If they had the money to invest to be considered by these exchanges to run an IEO, well it is possible for them as long as they have money.

At least the replacement of ICO projects were promising and IEO was slightly can restore investors confident to involved again in crypto after plenty of people suffering lost because scam ICO's and the good thing is IEO currently was dominated by trustable exchange such as binance and we were pretty safe following and being an investors from it so the investors can minimize to get scammed by people
